I landed at KFES due to bad weather at about 8 pm.. Was glad to find Mike (airport manager) at the airport. He was very friendly and gave me a ride to a gas station to get some stuff...It was a gr8 experience being at the Festus City airport and I appreciate the help of the airport manager...

Stopped in Festus for business in my Bellanca Viking- Before I got plane stopped two airport guys had fuel hose out and ready to fuel! Then put my plane in hangar for night - Service at such a small airport..... Big airports could learn from these guys!

Been to FES a few times, still has the cheapest fuel around the Saint Louis area. I never see anyone.
