My wife and I made an unscheduled stop at FIG yesterday due to turbulence. The airport currently does not have tie-downs and it appears they don't have a crew car. They are in the process of renovating a section of the apron and will have tie-downs soon. It has a very nice, spacious lounge. There is a computer with dial-up Internet service available. The airport does have Clyde and this is very good thing. He greeted us planeside, helped us find a hotel, drove us to the hotel then picked us up this morning. Overnight hangar fee was $25 for a C172. Clyde helped get the plane in since I didn't have a tow bar. He went out of his to be helpful and was cheerful the whole time. I will stop here again the next time I'm traveling through central PA.
