I stopped in for a quick turn on Nov 20. The service was great. The courtesy car was the best "airport" vehicle I have ever driven. John, the guy who was running things, even brought it out planeside for us. Everything worked on it--even the air conditioning. We used it to go to lunch at "Rix BBQ and Discount Store". Ya gotta love America!

100LL truck is out of service and has been all summer. The FBO building shows wear and age but is functional. The employees are often out of the FBO building working on the grounds. Their phone number is posted on the wall. Just call if you need assistance. WiFi and pilot computer are available. Username and password is both "guest". Ramp and runways are excellent.

100LL FS and SS were shown on AirNav, but only SS when I arrived 8/17/2011. No one there seemed to work there, and didn't seem to care. Dog running freely through facility wanting me to play, I'm highly allergic to dogs, again no one seemed to care. I will not stop here again.

In and out yesterday with our N6972N and had self-service 100LL fuel, so had great help doing that! Facilities are adequate. Nothing fancy here, but functional.

Stopped at FST to/from West Coast trip. At the self-service pump I was assisted by a friendly attendant, Blake. Great service. Nice and comfortable FBO. Worth stopping in.

Probably my forth time there. Rolled in late Saturday night. The most comfortable couch I ever slept on.

Definitely worth a trip there! The young attendants check if flight plans are filed to the airport - after touchdown they showed up, helped with everything and provided a Car (original West-Texan-Courtesy-Truck). You have everything you need, many runways, cheap fuel, good motels and a GREAT STEAKHOUSE!! GO THERE!

Stopped at FST July 13 and 14. Each time we stopped at SS pumps were met by staff that refueled the C172. Great service. Nice and comfortable FBO.

Stopped in for self-service fuel. FBO employee met me at pump and offered to pump it for me what great service.. Will definitely be back next time on way to KRAS.

Landed about 6pm and airport was deserted except for a man walking near the approach end of RWY12. Took him about 30 minutes to walk to where we were at the terminal, and he told us to call the number in the terminal and someone would come to help us. From that point everything was perfect. The phone call brought a man to help within 10 minutes. Because of the wind, he squeezed us into a hangar at no charge, provided a crew vehicle and recommended a hotel and restaurant. The next morning he pulled us out to the self-service, helped with fueling and loading. Good fuel price. FBO and crew lounge were excellent. Good wifi connection and also computer for briefing. Thank you!

Stopped in for fuel and biological break on my way west. Nice place, friendly people and the self serve fuel is easy to get to. Good pilot lounge with TV if you need a break for a while.

A really good place to stop for the night. Thanks to Cameron for helping us out with a car. We will be back again.

We dropped in to FST on 2 Dec 09 and it was a really good decision. Self-service easy to get to. FBO let us put out aircraft in an unused corner of a hangar and as it was breezy and cold we really appreciated his kindness. We used a loaner car to go the motel and return in the morning. Great stop and we highly recommend it.

Texas is famous for hospitality... In Texas, the best hospitality is WEST Texas, and in West Texas, your socks will be knocked off when you visit Fort Stockton. I called a day in advance to see if a car was available. I landed here the next day and there was an unforeseen issue with the courtesy vehicle. Cameron insisted I take his personal vehicle while he made a fix on the "airport car." I was able to check into my room, grab a meal and tend to some personal things, all while driving his rig. (No place is like Fort Stockton and this historic WW2 Army Air Corp Base is worth the stop, if you are within 300 miles away...)

JR is great... quansa hut hangars seem left open, however I tied down. Call ahead though if you need a courtesy car after hours. Hotels will not pick you up, and there is no taxi service. Cool airport. Also other than Mc Donald’s, most food closes down at 9PM. Day's is was very comfy, good service, continental breakfast that was kind of weak but got me on my way.

From John Savage on 17-Mar-2009

JR most welcoming and helpful with refueling, despite being self-service. Intended just to refuel and fly on to the west, but headwinds and turbulence made us turn back. JR again very welcoming, with advice on lodging and the loan of the courtesy car. Welcoming facility, friendly and helpful people.

We stopped at Fort Stockton, Texas after our second attempt to cross Texas; I contacted Cameron at our first attempt the night before and advised him we may not make it until very late in the evening. Cameron advised that it does not matter what time we get here he would wait (how refreshing). That night we did not make it too KFST but did the day after, called Cameron at short notice and he told me that the key is left in the Dodge Durango courtesy truck. He then said he would be there in morning to help us fuel. I whole heartily recommend this FBO to all fellow aviators, I own two FBO's in Florida and this service was excellent!! What a great experience and thank you Cameron for helping to keep General Aviation a life in our wonderful country today.
