In the past I've spoke very highly of Flower Aviation, but now the tides have turned. I stopped recently at GCK location and had a horrible experience with catering. After calling the order in the night before and listing the request on the fuel order, the catering was :40 minutes late, which made us late on our turn-around.

Awesome AAA+ service! We departed Washington DC, and while on our way the passengers made several requests for specific refreshments and food items. The wonderful girl at Flower made a special trip to town and had everything by the time we landed. Flower had our aircraft refueled in less than: 20 minutes and we were back in the air looking like heroes to our passengers. We have made this our stop several times now and the service is consistent and professional always. Keep up the great service Flower!

I normally think that most people in aviation are friendly. However, I think I was screwed here. I was on a 1600-mile round-trip in an archer 180. Fuel here was $2.00 more than any of my other 4 stops. That’s ridiculous. The people did not really say much, acted as if they could care less for small aircraft pilots. Then, when I asked for a funnel for oil, he gave me a piece of paper and said you can fold this we don't have any funnels.

WARNING!! DO NOT USE FLOWER FBO. It should have been very telling by the two-dollar higher fuel price that they don't give a rip about 100LL aircraft. A Lear pulled in behind me and got serviced first...Even though I was waiting outside my aircraft with the caps off. Don't be fooled by the flagman.... Go to the other FBO.

We had to divert from Wichita during a recent storm. The folks at Flowers were unwavering in the face of tough weather, clearing ramps, providing fuel and facilities so everyone could get back on track. We fly a TBM 700 and would return if our path takes us back to Garden City. Thanks everyone.

Flew to GCK in a Citation II from La Crosse, WI. Line techs were very friendly and receptionist inside was also great. Line techs quickly and correctly uploaded fuel for us. Had two pieces of mail that needed to be mailed, but the mail had already been picked up for the day. But the receptionist told me that she would be happy to take it to town for me so that it got mailed that same day. Thanks! Facilities are great with a nice flight planning room and lounge upstairs. Flower Aviation seems to have a great attitude about aviation: laid back enough so they are easy to work with, but yet professional and can get the job done when needed. Will stop again. Thanks Flower Aviation GCK!

WARNING! We had stopped for a fuel and run, in a Citation their "Spin" service. I was inside paying for the fuel when the girl told a line guy to put two quarts of Aeroshell 80 in the Navajo tail #"X". I used the restroom only to find the line guy finishing the second quart in OUR Citation's left engine. The oil door clearly reads CAUTION DO NOT MIX OILS. ONLY EXXON 2380. This little episode caused a three-hour delay with MX. Due to a lack of training for the job the line service is doing STAY AWAY from FLOWER. I fear that with the incompetent staff they could very well kill someone buy putting the wrong fuel, oil, and service to your aircraft. The manager never came out and even apologized at all. They called the next day to check how things were and if they handled the problem. We had to tell them that they had nothing to do with fixing the problem. This was our LAST stop at any FLOWER aviation.

Mixed experience. I use AirNav as a part of flight planning. My plan had been to make a fuel stop at KLBL. Then I got a briefing -- the ILS was out, the main runway closed, and the other one temporarily shortened. Decided to go to KGCK instead. But by this time I had closed down the computer, so I looked up the FBO information in the AOPA Directory and called them. Their name had changed, to something beginning with an "f". On landing, we were directed by a lineman to Flower's ramp. They fueled us immediately. The people were nice and quickly arranged a ride to the hotel. But Flower was not the right FBO -- too late to switch. What was the bad news? (1) Fuel $.40/gal. Higher at Flower than FirstFlight, (2) whoever pushed us back into the hangar left dirty handprints on the leading edges; my TKS system does not like dirty handprints. Morals: (1) Throw the AOPA Directory in the wastebasket. (2) Don't be lazy, turn the computer back on and use AirNav.
