After reading all the wonderful comments here, I had to check it out for myself. WOW. What a nice bunch of folks there! Had nice lunch at "Mike's" with a great view of the field. Jim at the front desk was most pleasant (ask him about his car). I'm making this my hub for my VT/Adirondack jaunts.

I have been a student at the Empire East Aviation flight school for nearly four months. The Empire East Aviation staff has been supportive, encouraging, and professional every step of the way. In addition, I have observed their interaction with various visitors, pilots, students, and members of our community. They have left a positive impression on many. As a professor of music at Adirondack Community College, I recognize what it takes to provide a nurturing environment for education. Empire East Aviation has it. Thanks to Kim, Wayne, Patti, and Jim...For everything. Thanks to my instructor, Jim Barrett for his ability to communicate and educate - definitely a qualified and successful instructor.

Flew into Glens Falls this Sunday. Service from FBO was quick, efficient and polite.

Great experience at GFL and Empire East. Wayne, the Three Quarter Horse Cavalryman, was there to marshall me in along with two other arrivals. He quickly chalked the aircraft and topped it off, and was there with a smile and good conversation. The cafe at GFL is an excellent value and serves up tasty food and friendly service. It don't git no better! It's great to see other Cavalry Scouts are still around to keep the mere mortals squared away. I hope to return soon. "Garry Owen" Wayne!

I am based at GFL and can report that Empire East does its best to provide great service to locals and transients alike. Their maintenance staff is absolutely the best. They are true master craftsmen; they keep my Arrow running even when I confront them with a maintenance issue on short notice. This past week was typical. I came home Thursday night with a broken seat back, and told them about it at noon. By the end of the day they had taken off the upholstery, welded it with a reinforcing gusset, repainted the frame, replaced the upholstery, and had me airworthy. Their skill level is so high that they complete work faster, and therefore cheaper, than many other shops. Absolutely top notch.

I attended the AYA Convention June 24-29, 2007 and I was impressed at the friendliness of the FBO Staff. I inadvertently left my jacket in the Terminal. I called Patti at the FBO desk when I got home in Virginia and she said she would mail it to my home address. I offered to have it put on my credit card and she said no fee needed. What service!! I can hardly wait to go back again.

Flew in July 1st for a 3-night stay. These are genuinely nice folks! The service was great and all staff members were pleasant. Golf cart assistance with luggage to and from the ramp. A ride was provided to a local hotel and they even loaned us an umbrella to stay dry on a rainy day. The on-site restaurant provided a great lunch at a reasonable price.

During the week of June 25-29 2007, The American Yankee Assn. (owners of Grumman light aircraft) held its annual convention at GFL. The Empire East staff couldn't have been better! They provided outstanding service, were always helpful and very friendly. They made my job as convention co-chair, much easier. The airport manager, Marshall Stevens, and his staff were also extremely supportive and helpful. If you know of a flying organization considering a convention location, I would highly recommend GFL. If not, just fly in and enjoy the hospitality!

Flew into GFL for the Grumman Convention last week. The staff at Empire East Aviation did an awesome job handling our fuel and rental car requests amongst the 175 airplanes also on the field. They did a great job as the host FBO, and we will definitely be back!

As we know, pilots are their own society. We are all buddies, and we stick together and help each other out. Nowhere have I been where being a pilot is greeted with such red carpet service. I have been to Glens Falls twice, and both times I have had better than an excellent experience. This FBO is better than top notch. Where a pilot knows they are a pilot, and how very special that is. My wife and I went this weekend (July 1 07) and we worried about being able to get a rental car as the companies told us there were none available. The FBO had it ready before we got to the terminal building. We didn’t even have to ask about the rental, they asked us. I was totally impressed! They filled my Piper's tires, and fueled my plane without spilling all over the wings, which as you know allot of FBO's do. My home base FBO could learn allot from Empire East Aviation. If I am ever in the area I will stop by even if just to get fuel.

Our aircraft type club held its annual convention at GFL in June 2007. About 80 aircraft flew in for a week, and the staff of Empire East was fantastic - they handled requests large and small almost before we made them, and really went out of their way to help in every way. I can't say enough good things about this place. The restaurant (Mike's) is good too.

Flew in for breakfast today in my Champ and was treated the same as the Citation that came in behind me. He bought lots of fuel and I bought none. Nice place and nice people.

I visit GFL frequently and I can't say enough good things about this place. The people are very friendly and the line service is great. There's also a nice restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch right there in the terminal building.

Was truly amazed when flying into Floyd Bennett last month.. The FBO occupied the UNICOM Freq. And was directing traffic. I thought that the airport didn't have a control tower? On my next trip from Rochester I will fly into Albany if I am looking for a control tower or Heber Airpark if I am looking to use my pilot skill to avoid traffic.

AirNav.com indicates attended hours is 0700 to 1900, but actual hours are 0800-1800. I called about staying 15-30 minutes later to buy fuel, and they were happy to do it. Initial hangar price quote for King Air was $350/night, but I called back and they said that price was in error and the actual was $200/night. They were very helpful in arranging a crew car for a short overnight stay and in having the airplane put back on the ramp for a 0800 departure. Small FBO but very nice to customer.

I made my first flight to Glen Falls on Monday, October 16, 2006. What a view! Great service at the FBO. While I did not require fuel, the ground personnel were extremely friendly. They gave me some hints on how to fly and circumnavigate the lake. Need to go back for a longer trip next time. Service was great at the airport diner.

My personal experience during the glider competition was that Empire East was the ONLY one looking out for local traffic. Witnessed several safety violations by some gliders and crew (which is why they were booted off the field). Empire East's staffs are pilots and consummate professionals. They always treat you right. They did my annual in May - my plane has never been better!

I have never seen anything like this in the 30 years of corporate flying. I attended the Region 3 Soaring Competition and witness Empire East Aviation on 123.00 giving directions as if they were a control tower. They did not allow for the local traffic to get in and provide their positioning in the traffic pattern. I witness this day after day for entire week. Empire East Aviation thinks they are running a Control Tower and is causing serious safety concerns to the traffic of this airfield. Furthermore, I watched Empire East be extremely rude to their clients. Would suggest you fly into 5B2 and visit North American Flight Services for a pleasant experience.

Flew into GFL for a 6-day stay in my Skyhawk. I was coming in after hours on Sunday afternoon. The FBO was tracking my tail number based on my car reservation through Hertz, and saw I was running a little late - so they stayed and waited for me, and even drove my rental out to the airplane to meet me. Much appreciated service.

I fly into GFL frequently in a Falcon 20F and a Diamondjet MU-300. The staff is extremely efficient and courteous, not only to the pilots but our passengers as well. They allowed our last passengers to bring their vehicle on the ramp to load all their baggage, then even "valet" parked the pax car so we could depart. All in all a very nice place with a terrific cafe inside! Would love to see them expand 1/19 runway to 6000' for summer ops when we're heavy.
