Very friendly & helpful. Provided hangar shelter from storms and courtesy car

Stopped in 6 December 07. Called first to find the fuel was $ .21 LESS than listed. ($3.99) Yes fuel does change quickly, but not always UP! Still has $100 max per, but most folks will run a credit card a couple more times to SAVE over $ 80.00 on 50 gallons.

I stopped one day after Shawn Basco, and was (likewise) surprised to see a price of $3.82, rather than $3.28. Well, OK, gas prices are volatile these days. But at that price, the $100 max per transaction was most aggravating.... It took two rounds of credit card authorization, and I STILL didn't quite get the extra-range tanks in my 172 filled up!

Nice airport with easy to use fuel pumps. It has been advertised for a long time that the prices were exceptional at $3.28 for 100LL but when I taxied up, I found the real price to be $3.82 for the 100LL. Perhaps this was a simple typo, or the price jumped .54/Gal in just few days - who knows, but if you're planning on a "great" rate for gas, you might save yourself the trip by calling first to see what price is actually at the pumps. All in all, GQQ is a nice place and the SS pumps work fine.

I like to go to little airports to experience the history of the area. No one was here, but a car arrived, and I asked about getting a courtesy car to drive 3 miles and get a sandwich. He promptly opened a hangar-gave me a car, and told me where to leave it on my return. It was only 6 miles route, but its only right to put some gas in it. Nice place, nothing fancy, friendly. For business purposes I WOULD like to have had a receipt from the Self Serve.

Yep, the fuel pump will only give you $100 at a time, which even proved annoying for a little Cherokee 140. The other part is that it doesn't give you a receipt, but given that the prices are so low (DKK is charging $4.50/gal!!!) I can’t complain too much. If in the area I would stop here again.

Pleasant and helpful people. If going to Mid Ohio racetrack, I prefer Galion to Mansfield.

Small, quiet mostly VFR airport. Good fuel prices. Self-serve pump only allows you to pump $100 without resetting -- kind of a pain especially if you're in a twin. Helpful, friendly people. Mechanic let me borrow his car to go into to town to get a sandwich. No computerized weather information available so I might hesitate if weather is an issue. Weather was an issue and the mechanic went out of his way to show me a local weather channel on TV. Nice folks.
