I've been flying into Dekalb County every other month for the past year and have had nothing but the best service. Great airport with a superior FBO.

Can't say enough about how nice this airport is. Great group of people there to help you.

Stopped in 8/12/2009, 0730 lcl, Terry met me on the ramp as I shut down. Fueled the aircraft. Reasonable fuel prices. Tony and Lara were great. Nicely run operation. Would stop again.

  Nice airport. Helpful, friendly FBO.

From David Bents on 15-Mar-2009

I stopped to buy fuel at Kendallville IN C62 Mar 14th and, after being ignored for a few minutes by the FBO and his buddies, decided to hop over to Auburn DeKalb GWB and try my luck there. I had barely shut down and stepped out of the airplane when the FBO walked up to me and asked if I needed anything. I told him "I would like to buy some gas from you" and he immediately went over to his truck and brought it to my airplane. I went inside to pay, and had a very pleasant conversation with both him and his wife (who is the resident flight instructor), talking about winter flying in the Midwest. Then I went back out to the airplane and flew home. I note the difference in attitude between these two FBO's so close geographically but so far apart service wise, that I will choose GWB as my fueling stop whenever I am in the NE Indiana neighborhood. By the way, there is no drinking fountain or water cooler at Kendallville (yes, there is a restroom). But Auburn DeKalb County has both . . . .

The best FBO I've ran across in a long time. Lara and Tony enjoy what they do and appreciate their customers.

I have to chuckle at the comment from Chris. The owners of this FBO are probably the nicest, most helpful people a pilot could ever find. I am sure insurance regulation or some other form of "outside regulation" prevents vehicles on the ramp. I do know they have a cart and wagon and are more than happy to help a pilot get their gear from the lot to the ramp. Not only do they maintain some of the lowest fuel prices around, I have seen both Lara and Tony out in the rain (and snow) assisting pilots in packing their gear to their aircraft. Keep up the great work. I will be back!

I flew in to pick up some family members to fly to Oshkosh. We had a lot of camping gear and luggage. They refused to let us drive out on the ramp to load the aircraft. They did let us use a hand truck. I had already purchased fuel (wish I had not bought so much). When I returned they tried to park me way out on the ramp. I was not going to haul all that gear across the ramp again. We unloaded the aircraft and then moved our self to the tie down. I did not have the same experience that others have had. If you just stop by for fuel they are fine but don't bring a lot of luggage.

Dropped in for a fuel stop. Was greeted with free hot dogs, a nice facility & airport, and friendly people. Thanks Lara!

I had a great experience with Century Aviation. I never called ahead and was scheduled to arrive over an hour after their closing time. They were watching flightaware and stuck around to see if I needed any services upon my arrival. When I arrived my gas was pumped with a smile. Thank you again for your dedication and friendly help.
