Visited Giddings last night with no problem with the fuel pumps timing out. American Express not accepted at the self-serve pump, but a handwritten note taped to the self-serve kiosk indicated that AmEx is available for transactions when the FBO building is open.

The above ground tanks are gone; the original pumps are back in operation. They work well, but have a fairly short timeout. I don't think they take AMEX. Prices are fair; runway and ramps are in excellent condition.

Nice little airport. Note that the in ground fuel pumps that you'll see when you pull onto the parking ramp are deactivated. Use the self-service pumps that are co-located with the large white above ground fuel tanks. I didn't get a receipt when I refuled there yesterday, so I don't know what I paid, but in the past fuel prices have been reasonable here.
