I am a frequent customer. It is always a pleasure to stop in. The Gary Jet Center is top notch in all respects. More than once counter people or ramp folks have gone out of their way to assist...Like giving me a ride some where in a personal car when the ramp crew car was unavailable.

I had a very pleasant experience at GYY. I chose it over midway for a weekend visit. The airport is uncomplicated and simple to fly in and out. Fuel was competitive and there were no fees. The jet center arranged for a town car into Chicago, which was on the tarmac as we arrived. It cost $115 plus tip for the 35-40 minute ride. The tower even called me well before takeoff to notify me of a change to my flight plan. All in all a stressless experience!

The staff was friendly and let me use the courtesy car and sit around watching their TV, even though' I only stopped to wait out IFR weather. Check out the great roast beef shop in town!

We were at the Jet Center over the weekend. They were most hospitable, taking us to and from the train station and keeping us on the ramp at no charge. They even put the plane in a hangar when a tornado threatened. Only took 34 gal of gas. Great service.

Great choice when visiting Chicago. Very friendly staff. Owner drove me to the train station just 3 minutes away. The south Shore train is very convenient way to downtown. Fuel prices reasonable and I paid no ramp fees for a 3-day stay.

Stayed overnight and GYY. Staff was very good to deal with. Did not take the train into Chicago and regretted it - the traffic on the interstate was awful.

I flew in my Seneca V – N134BB from Virginia. I selected GYY for my recent Chicago trip to avoid departure delays at MDW. Great service! Just watch out for the rental car terms.. They rented me a car with 100-mile limit, which is not enough if driving to Chicago for meetings.

Great FBO. Great service. I give them a 10 +!!! An oasis in the middle of Gary. Wish they would get a new rental car operation to service them. Hertz is not good. Car was filthy and smelled. Tried for a week to get someone at Hertz to answer the phone regarding an invoice with no luck.

The service and attitude on a recent stop were so bad I'll fly far out of my way to avoid Gary. The rental car was filthy, counter service poor, and all around it was a very bad experience. They didn't fuel the plane as ordered, so I left without fuel and stopped elsewhere. When I returned two pilots were sitting in the lounge and said they hadn't seen anyone at the counter for 30 minutes. That's how bad it was! Goodbye Gary.

Gary Jet Center offered me outstanding service during my recent stay. They were friendly, prompt and helpful in arranging my hotel and to top it off, reasonably priced fuel. This is the way to go when visiting the Chicago area.

Great FBO. I called about 3 hours prior to arrival and was able to secure a rental car and have my 206 hangared for 2 nights. Very friendly and helpful staff. The girl at the counter even gave me a great alternate route into Chicago that avoided construction on the Ryan Expressway. The rental car was waiting when I landed and I was in downtown Chicago within 30 minutes. I called Sunday about 45 minutes prior to my departure and when I arrived at the field, my airplane was pulled out, fueled, and ready to go. If you're going to Chicago, skip the hassles at Midway and try this very fine FBO.

Was there Oct.8-12 VFR Cherokee. They were great. Helped cover the plane after fueling and kept it full time under their care. No tie down or landing fee. Preheated it for departure with phone call. Gave a ride to train station for trip to Chicago, and picked up upon return. Great pilot flight planning room with 3 computers and phone as printers that work. Friendly TWR helped with VFR departure under a TFR. I'll be back. Highly recommend this base for Chicago trip convenient and avoid the fees and busy B airspace. Great people and service, even for the little guy. Give it a try!

As with prior post nice experience and easy ride to downtown Chicago. I did not have the courage to fly into Midway. But from prior comments this FBO is better. The only concern is to make sure taxi driver from Chicago knows where they are going, wasted an hour and had to re-file.

If you are trying to decide whether to use GYY or MDW for your downtown Chicago business read my comment concerning Million Air at Midway. Gary Jet Center excelled at everything Million Air at Midway failed at. Not to mention that Gary Jet Center delivered on fuel price, and Customer Service. I dropped my passengers off at MDW on Thursday, and picked them up on Friday at GYY. My passengers were conducting business in downtown Chicago. Upon their arrival at GYY they commented that they would prefer to use GYY for all of their East Chicago travel from now on. Gary Jet Center didn't roll out the red carpet, but I do not need the red carpet either. I need quality service, and respect for my business and passengers. Gary Jet Center Delivered.

Staff at the FBO was helpful but arranged a hotel room at a place that was filthy and unpleasant. Not the best place to stop overnight.

What a great deal and a great bunch of folks! Everyone treated us well, gave us rides back and forth to the train station, and took care of our old and sturdy 182. Even though the entire staff was completely up to their eyeballs with tasks (they were hosting all the air performers for the Chicago Air & Water Show) they still found time to provide excellent customer service. This makes a great base when visiting Chicago. We'll be back.

Gary Jet Center was a fine stop over for our twin Cessna for a week while in Chicago on business. It was about $400 cheaper (fuel and parking) than Midway, and the trip to Chicago's business district took less than an hour, $90 with tip. When we returned to the plane, the battery was dead. It was Sunday. Even so, they had me up and running in fewer than 30 minutes. Wow! I'm going there whenever I visit Chicago.

Big-city FBO service at small town 100LL prices. These guys are fairly helicopter-savvy as they have a couple of Jet Rangers based here. The crew car was in good shape, though the better restaurants are mostly at least a 10-minute drive. Very helpful control tower and nice folks on the ground.

Very friendly and helpful FBO. Taxi from downtown Chicago ran $90 and took 30 min. Train is $4.50 and takes about 50 min. FBO will give ride to/from train station but make sure to check schedule for train at www.Nictd.Com
