Mike the airport manager was very helpful with giving me a heads up on the airport as to parking for helicopters. He even gave us a lift to our accommodations nearby. I will definitely stop in again.

Came here in my Baron to vacation in San Francisco. The cab ride was $20 higher than if I landed at Oakland, but it was a much prettier drive. Plus the fuel and landing fees are cheaper. Really neat little airport, I'd come back. Thanks!

Fuel is VERY expensive (always), but this is a great lunch stop. Park at the south end (you'll see a few planes tied down WAY to the south). Walk through the gate, over the wooden bridge and into town. Great little harbor and a selection of restaurants from primo Italian (Mezza Luna) to primo fish joint (Barbara's Fish Trap). GPS approaches, but when weather's bad, its really bad. Forget it. VFR pattern requires downwind over the town rather than the deserted land between the airport and ocean. Go figure.

Wow, what a cool place. Proximity to good restaurants and a beautiful setting make Half Moon a top pick.
