I left a small notebook behind. The staff took the trouble to call a number in the book leaving a message with a friend of mine that I had left it. I called to give them an address to which they could send the notebook. Now how great is that! Fantastic! Thanks a ton.

I have flown into hundreds of FBOs both on the west and east coast. By far this is the best service and helpful friendly sevice I have ever received. Clean, friendly greeting. They have very cheap fuel and a great weather room where the computer really works!!!. I would recommend stopping at desert skies even if it is out of your way you will be happy. Thanks again and you will see us again.

We stopped in at Desert Skies for a little break and a great meal at the BBQ joint right next door to this great FBO. The lobby/facilities in general were very nice and they complimentary refreshments on hand. The staff was fantastic and the fuel prices were great. We had a minor problem that required the attention of an A&P and this was late on a Saturday afternoon. Without hesitation the guys at Desert Skies jumped on our problem and had us fixed up within about 30 minutes. The would NOT accept money from us for the help either!! What a nice gesture!! I highly recommend Desert Skies at Lake Havasu and make sure you swing by the BBQ restaurant for a bite. It was great as well.

I sure second everyone else's comments! This is actually the second time I've been here, and the second time I've been lucky enough to be the recipient of their great service and beautiful facility. Doug immediately met our airplane, tied us down, and drove us to the FBO. Inside, Amy gave us some great restaurant recommendations (first things first!), arranged for fuel, and lent us one of their courtesy vans. It's no secret they have the best fuel prices around. Beautiful and well equipped pilots lounge. Complimentary slushies and bottled water. Here's one thing to add: Waldo's barbecue, right next to the FBO, will be opening in a few days, probably by the time you read this post. Hope they'll be adding it to their website to include their hours, as I'll be flying in just for that!

Great, friendly place to stop. However, I have not been able to figure out how to get the AS AirBoss price; it's always the FS AirBoss price. It is still a bargain, but I don't mind pumping my own for a little more discount.

I was on a cross country from coast to coast. I was overnighting in Lake Havasu. I called in advance and notified Desert Skies I was going to arrive at 6:30pm on a Saturday. The lady that answered was friendly and advised me they stayed open until 7pm. Upon arrival at 6:20pm I taxied to the ramp. No one was to be seen or answered the phone. Very disappointed after reading all the other great comments!

I flew into HII and had chosen Desert Skies as the FBO to go to. I certainly made the right choice. I was met by nicest folks I have ever had the opportunity to meet at any FBO. I had a ton of gear and they moved everything I had in their truck to the hangar. My aircraft was housed and I was assisted in every way possible, by the staff, to complete my aerial flights the next day. For three days I was treated like a "King" and realized a significant savings on fuel, which I found to be the cheapest jet fuel on the airport. I hope I get the opportunity to work here again. Great people, great service, great fuel prices, and great free frozen fruit smoothies in the lobby.

I thought I would comment on Desert Skies FBO. You first need to know that I am a very lazy person, and taking the time to comment means something extraordinary. We have visited Desert Skies at HII many times. Consistently friendly, professional, competent and timely service beyond expectations. Yvonne and Amy at the front desk are knowledgeable, helpful and always kind. The same goes with the fuel guys and others. Last time we had some engine troubles (fouled plug), Desert Skies folks advised us to visit next door at Arizona Aircraft Maintenance where we received immediate attention, the problem was fixed in 45 minutes the cost was more than reasonable ($20). A pleasant experience for us. We highly recommend these places for everyone.

We go out of our way to stop and see the guys at Desert Skies!!! We first stopped by March 2008 on our way to the Bahamas in our Twin Comanche. Without a doubt, it was the best stop of our whole trip! We even stopped in on the way home. Since, we've been there several times and the service is always the same: GREAT!!! They let us use their van to go to town and get really great food at Shugrue's by the London Bridge. I signed up for AirBoss so I could get another .10 off the price of their already CHEAP fuel and they gave me the discount even without the card. Since I fly a Twin the needs lots of fuel, I always plan my stops to include Desert Skies, besides I love the Slurpee machine and the to-go snacks that has saved our tummies on more than one occasion! John, Andy, Marv and Yvonne, you guys are the greatest! Thanks, Larry and Linda

Flew into KHII on Dec 30th. Checked out AirNav prior to trip Took note to follow the **RED** cart. To the FBO. Before my foot hit the tarmac the fuel truck pulled up to the plane. GREAT SERVICE from these guys. Bought gas **CHEAPER** then what AirNav stated!! Was offered use of their courtesy car to go get something to eat. Will park at "Desert Skies" on next trip and snub my nose at the other FBO's as I taxi by the other carts that try to grab your attention at the taxiway.... Flew KSDL-KHII

We flew all the way in from Oregon on October 19th for gas and to visit friends. I was amazed to see three different FBOs all competing for our gas business. As it turned out we went with Desert Skies. It was the right choice, they couldn't have been nicer. We hadn't even bought gas from them yet, when bottles of cold water were quickly offered and gratefully received. The price of gas was the cheapest we paid our whole trip! And when we asked about tying down for a few days. We were offered the chance to put our two Biplanes in their hangar for the duration of our stay. I really appreciate the service we received from Andy Brown in particular! It was the best service we received on our whole trip. Thanks we'll be back.

A friend of mine and I recently took two weeks to travel the southwest in a Pietenpol Air Camper. We stopped at quite a few FBO's along our trip, however none were as friendly and helpful as Desert Skies. Upon landing after a full day of flying in an open cockpit airplane, we were both approached with a cold water free of charge. With thunderstorms in the area, the staff at Desert Skies put our airplane in their hangar and offered to find us a place to stay at a local hotel. They even gave us their courtesy car for the night. After stopping at 28 FBOs on our trip, Desert Skies definitely ranked #1 in terms of quality service.

Just a note about the low fuel prices and excellent service by Andy and company at Desert Skies Exec Air in Havasu City. Andy met us at the ramp with a golf cart directed us to our tie down gave us cool water. He gave us a ride to there FBO, one of the nicest, cleanest pilot lounges that I have ever seen, furnished like a hunting lodge. They even have free slurpees and popcorn. When our friend did not show up that was supposed to meet us Andy gave us a ride to the other FBO and then to the terminal where we finally found her. There is a noticeable difference between people that do there jobs just for the pay check, and people that enjoy there jobs and helping people, Andy and the crew at Desert Skies Exec Air are people that enjoy helping other people.

I have a covered tie down at Havasu and have had for years. Unfortunately it usually is only protecting my pickup, as we don't get there as much as we used to. This week I came in on a Friday evening only to find someone's car parked in my spot..... Bummer. The guys at Desert Skies were amazingly helpful. They actually put my plane in their hangar for a couple of days until the offender returned and DS put my plane back into my spot..... And all at NO COST!!! So not only do Andy and the rest of the crew do an amazing job of providing fuel at some of the lowest prices around but also provide a level of service that hasn’t been seen (in my opinion) for many years!!! Try it for yourself and hopefully you will get the same treatment that I have been getting for every time I am there!!!

We were met at the plane with cool water & a smile. Excellent all around. John the General Manager says that soon there will be a coffee shop/snack bar on the field, which will make this a fine stop for the $100 hamburger crew. Especially since KIFP is less exciting now since their terminal moved to the east side of the field. Town is about 8 miles away, but John has a fine crew car he'll let you borrow. Be kind and top it up when done.

I frequently stop for fuel from Phoenix to California on my return trips, as it's hard to beat their fuel prices. It's worth the stop for the friendly service which is getting harder and harder to find these days. Keep up the good work guys & gals at SWF, I promise to get you up in the 195 one of these days, when it cools down. When at Havasu I always remember to follow the blue golf carts. Flew into Lake Havasu on Friday, 2007-04-13, to gas up for a trip on to eastern Arizona. The terminal weather looked really bad my wife and I decided to stay for a while. I asked Andy if they had a courtesy car and he said no, but pulled out the keys to his personal pickup and told me that we ought to take an hour or so to see the London Bridge.
