DESERT SKIES FBO IS A++ great service FREE crew car NO RAMP fees on light twins and outstanding customer service from the line persons to the front desk, NOT like to other FBO on the field they charge a ramp fee, pilot crew car $10 per hour, soon they will start charging for breathing their air soon.

From Mark Peters on 14-Sep-2013

What a great experience from touchdown to take-off. Parking escort, wheels chocked, cold bottled water and friendly service. We flew from Phoenix to eat at Waldo's BBQ and it was absolutely worth it. We will definitely do this again and again. AAAAA+++++

From Maxwell Denney on 12-Sep-2013

Great food at Waldo's, go for the pulled pork. The FBO was very helpful in parking and refueling our Cessna 140. They gave us water bottles upon landing and offered the use of their crew car. Will be back, good food, cheap fuel, and friendly service.

From Joe Gamez on 10-Sep-2013

Jeff Gardner, now GM of the place does an outstanding job on all fronts. If you are inbound, give him a call and he will take good care of you. He worked his way up from lineman to GM over the years and it is very well deserved. He is the example that all employees there should follow. Thanks for the service Jeff!

From Dave McGuiness on 28-Jul-2013

I have not visited Havasu or Desert Skies for over a year. Jeff and his crew have taken customer service to a new level and provided myself, family, and friends with 5 star service each time I have flown there over the past month on several occasions. We received transportation assistance, care for our kids and dog in blazing heat above and beyond what we expected, as well as excellent service and care for our plane with respect to fuel and hangar service. All of this was much appreciated especially due to flying in during the middle of the day at the peak of the heat.

From Joseph W. Graham on 03-Jul-2013

Best FBO anywhere!! Best service, best gas prices.

From Ed Noel on 02-Jun-2013

Needed fast turn on a long cross-country flight and got just that from the friendly, efficient ground crew and front desk.

From Earl Schofield on 02-May-2013

I've been using Desert Skies for a couple years now. Always friendly service, ready with a cold water bottle, crew car, or fuel. Thanks!

From Dave Wurfel on 21-Feb-2013

Stopped by last Saturday. Was marshalled into a convenient parking space. Went into the FBO, which is really nice. Was greeted by the lady behind the counter. Picked up a courtesy van to go to town. FBO gave us a great restaurant Recco. And it was great. Fueled up by a very polite ramp guy and was on my way. Great stop!

From Robert McMeekin on 11-Nov-2012

Great fuel stop. Cart met us, directed us to parking, and transported us to the FBO office. Assisted service from their truck was same price as self-service. Great BBQ restaurant next to the FBO.

From Robert Beverly on 06-Jul-2012

This was my third stop in as many years for a long cross-country trip and Desert Skies continues to maintain a high level of professional and friendly service. Well done, folks!

From Justine Harrison on 12-Jun-2012

It was so hot the soles of Jeff's shoes were melting on the ramp, but Jeff came over to greet us with a smile as soon as we arrived. Friendly hospitality, cold water, proactive and thoughtful service... Jeff, John and the rest of the team couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We will definitely be back!

From Chris Mysona on 05-Jun-2012

Amazing we were greeted on the ramp and given ice cold water! Flew in from Chandler for a never before done flight! Great service used the crew car into town and got some food. Definitely would love to come back again :)

From Victor Steel on 03-Jun-2012

I flew to Lake Havasu on 6/1/12, and the folks at Desert Skies were awesome! I called before I left, and found that they are dog friendly, so I was able to bring my Golden. Yvonne offered to keep her while I went next door for lunch (the BBQ was great, by the way). Then I used the courtesy van to go into town with my dog to check out London Bridge and the beach. Overall, a great experience, and I will definitely use Desert Skies again! This is one of the best FBOs I've visited.

From Joe Mizia on 15-May-2012

I have never had a bad experience here. These guys always seem to go above and beyond. I would like to give special thanks to Melissa, Yvonne and Jeff. You guys truly make my job easier and my passengers experience first class. Thanks for your hard work.

From M Morrall on 05-Mar-2012

Flew In the other weekend. Always great service with a smile. I will always use these guys. Nothing negative to say at all.

From Caitlyn Fahey on 07-Feb-2012

We flew in to Havasu several weekends ago from SoCal to do a pre-buy on an airplane and grab some lunch. Long story short, we couldn't get our 172 restarted. The Desert Skies folks were super helpful. They helped us troubleshoot, charge the battery, and jump it (to no avail; the battery wasn't the issue after all). Since we had to come back the next weekend with a fix, Desert Skies was nice enough to move the 172 to one of their parking spots. Full service gas was offered at a price that beat many of the self-service prices I've seen. The crew is really good at shuttling you about in their red golf carts, and even let us borrow a courtesy car when we were forced to stay the night. Btw, I recommend Shugrue's Steakhouse down by the London Bridge (cool area) for dinner. One of the best steaks I've ever had, and a great wine list. The London Bridge Resort was also a good stay.

From Mike Divan on 01-Feb-2012

One word - OUTSTANDING! From the line personnel to the nice lady in the FBO this place is the best. Friendly and helpful even to a little prop bug smasher (RV6). Greeted us at the tie down helped us tie down drove us to the FBO. Found out we were staying the night and offered the use of one of ther vans overnight and well into the next day. Moved my Plane from one of the city tiedowns ($11 a night) to one of their tie downs and no charge. They treated my plane as nicely as I do. With "AirBoss" fuel was $4.99 a gallon. My third time at Desert Skies and the already outstanding service, gets better each visit. I will always use this FBO. WALDO'S was good also. A little slow getting the food out but still a good place to eat. Not a bad $100 hamburger destination. I cannot say enough about the outstanding service at Desert Skies.

From Dennis King on 02-Jan-2012

Great prices, great service, and we didn't even have the barbeque! Very friendly even had fresh popcorn!

From K Velvick on 01-Jan-2012

My husband and I planned a large flyin of Vans RV's on New Year's Day 2012. Desert Skies was VERY accommodating and gave EXCELLENT customer service. We had 25 RV's show up within one hour and the linemen were very good at leading the aircraft in and parking us in the same area. I highly recommend this FBO for future services, as we will return next year for the same event.

From Robert Beverly on 30-Nov-2011

This is my second stop at KHII in the past couple of years and I decided to try Desert Skies this time -- all previous positive comments are fully deserved and I'll certainly return! 100LL was $5.29/gal on 11/21/2011.

From Inger Fahmi on 28-Nov-2011

My wife and I spent a 3-day weekend in Havasu (11/25/11 through 11/27/11). We parked at Desert Skies, and I can only echo the praise given by all the other commenters. We were met by a lineman who marshaled us in, tied us down, brought our Hertz car out to the airplane, and even helped load and unload bags. Our fuel order was filled right away, and the full-serve fuel price ($5.29) was far less than most places' self-serve prices. Desert Skies' facility is pleasant and comfortable, and they have fresh hot popcorn (a nice snack after a long flight). We also dined at the attached Waldo's BBQ restaurant -- which was truly excellent. No question -- we'll be back!

From Kevin Pattee on 16-Nov-2011

Stopped in Oct 28th for fuel - Commander 112tc. Choose Desert Skies based on other AirNav recommendations, and they are all correct. Both line personnel and office staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. Fuel price was as advertised $5.25/gal, which is/was much better than the surrounding airports/FBOs. I will make every effort to stop in here again.

From Joanne Bennett on 15-Oct-2011

Fuel stop on Oct 5 enroute to CA and had excellent service from the guys at this FBO. Pilot Assisted fueling was a breeze - line guy brought the fuel truck by, helped hook up static line and gave me the nozzle for fueling. Avgas price was the best in the area, especially with AirBoss discount. I would highly recommend this FBO - very friendly and helpful personnel there.

From Per Faldborg Olesen on 02-Oct-2011

Stopped in for 2 nights at the Hampton Inn. We were met just after landing and parked just in front of the FBO. Our baggage was offloaded and the courtesy car from Hampton Inn was called. Yvonne at the front desk gave us a nice gift as we were coming all the way from Denmark and had chosen Desert Skies, which we will be happy to do again. Just great service all the way.

From Dan Kap on 19-Sep-2011

This FBO is tops of any FBO I've been into, and I've been flying for over 40 years. This was the third time I've been into Desert Skies over probably the past three years and it was great to see that the FBO, service, and friendliness are still the greatest in aviation. Used one of their nice courtesy vans to drive into town. As they advertise, fuel is the cheapest around (especially coming from California, KPOC). When we returned to the FBO to depart, we and our Piper Arrow got great red carpet treatment from Andy who helped us fuel up for the 10¢/gallon discount. Can't wait to return to try Waldo's BBQ, which is immediately adjacent to Desert Skies.

From Dale Borgman on 23-Jul-2011

Stopped in to get fuel and the service was excellent. The staff is very friendly and when you enter the office a member of the staff opens the door for you. They park you right in front as if you were a special guest. I will be stopping in there again.

From Tommy McCracken on 06-Jul-2011

Stopped in on the way back to California. They treated us more like family then customers. The folks there went way out of their way calling numerous local hotels trying to find us a place to stay. We landed pretty late in the day and they even let us take the crew car to the hotel for the night. Next time I'm in Havasu I'm stopping at Desert Skies. Hands down most friendly FBO I have ever been to.

From Robert Evans on 29-May-2011

Always a pleasure at Desert Skies. Low fuel prices, great service and even took advantage of a crew car last week. Great place to stop, relax, refuel and be treated like an old friend. Bob Evans

From Wil Vessey on 01-May-2011

Great service and reasonable gas price. Thanks for the BBQ, keep up the good work.

From Gregory Petitalot on 29-Apr-2011

Stop at Lake Havasu on my way to Sedona in early April 11. Compared to the other FBO (Air Center which has perhaps a nicer facility), Desert Skies is conveniently located (I.E. Next door) closed to a BBQ place. As a low maintenance SEP pilot, I would probably stop again at Desert Skies next time for that specific reason.

From Ken Nebrig on 25-Mar-2011

Landed at KHII & tried Desert Skies after deciding to bypass fueling at P20 (Parker) to the south ($4.79 at HII vs. $5.50 at P20). Sure glad I did! Excellent service, great facilities & friendly folks. I took 40 gallons, so with that kind of savings on fuel, the 12 minutes it took to fly up from Parker were more than paid back. If your plans call for the River or Lake Havasu, your best bet is Desert Skies! Can't recommend highly enough!

From Andrew Stagg on 20-Mar-2011

I've flown to HII on several occasions, most recently in early March, flying a Mooney M20 from California to Louisiana and every time received excellent service and usually the lowest fuel prices on my entire trip. Waldo's BBQ is the best BBQ I've had west of Texas and Desert Skies has a discounted rate for the local Hampton Inn (which is also excellent and has a free shuttle service to the airport).

From Bill Midon on 21-Feb-2011

Just arrived yesterday on our way to LA in our Phenom 100. What a great, fun stop. Watching a flight of 8 UH-60 BlackHawks take off was an added treat. The people at Desert Skies are just terrific. The antique fuel truck and pick-up truck on the ramp provide for a great photo backdrop, particularly if you have kids. And the price is right. Wish I could take them home with me... :)

From Jake Nelson on 19-Jan-2011

Awesome Awesome Awesome. Brought our Warrior right to the front door, treated us like royalty, ate like kings at the BBQ joint AND they had the cheapest fuel on the field. No brain-er - Go team Desert Skies.

From Steve Bruno on 26-Dec-2010

Absolutely outstanding FBO. Wonderful facilities and truly exceptional staff. With their staff, they could operate successfully out of a pick-up. Oh yeah, great airport too! 'Two thumbs up.'

From Isaac Swainston on 01-Dec-2010

Nice facilities, helpful staff. Pssgr left his phone in the lounge and the front desk girl called us on UNICOM and had someone drive the phone out to the taxiway (we were done with runup and about to leave). Above and beyond. OH YEA...CHEAP TOO.

From Robert Paul Hancock on 30-Nov-2010

Over the top service from the time I taxied off the runway. I saw a big red shirt and an even bigger smile waiting to greet me. They even parked me right in front as if I was the most important person at the airport. I went inside and was greeted again with big smiles and my choice of beverages, including free smoothies. I had them top it off and when I went to pay, I thought my plane was only burning half the fuel it usually does. When they told me the price, it was even cheaper than when I first started flying. Then they told me about the crown jewel, Waldo's BBQ, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I can't wait to come back. Thank you Desert Skies

From Charlie Kaiser on 07-Nov-2010

Desert Skies should be the blueprint for how to run an FBO. I'm based in Kingman but come down to DS for fuel whenever possible since their prices are so much better, not to mention the service. The staff there always goes out of their way to make a pilot feel welcome. I was just there yesterday and neglected to call ahead for a courtesy car. When I got there they were all in use. They still managed to rustle one up for me on very short notice. Some of the nicest folks I've ever met in my aviation travels. I wish Desert Skies would take over the Kingman FBO!

From Terry Hemmen on 06-Nov-2010

Landed today when the weather was cool...Red golf cart met us as we taxied in and the nose wheel was chocked as soon as the engine stopped. Used a van to go to town, which was really great!! Ate at the BBQ place where the food was exceptional. Had our Rockwell Commander fueled up and was given water for our return flight. An enjoyable experience with a great FBO and great people...Will return!!

From Paul Brown on 29-Oct-2010

Cannot say enough good things about these folks!!!! Best fuel stop I've ever done. If you stop here - make sure you're hungry! The BBQ restaurant that shares a wall with the FBO is TOP NOTCH and has wonderful food for exceptional prices. I just wish it was further from my home base so I could stop there more often :-)
