We flew our Cirrus SR22 into Park Township and Brian, the airport manager, was extremely gracious. Over several days we flew our plane, basing at the airport. Everyone was very hospitable. The runway has displaced thresholds, which makes the approach a bit challenging, however they will be trimming the trees on the approach ends which should help.

Sept. 20, 2010. A friend and his wife and my wife and I flew two RVs into KHLM. Brian the manager greeted us. We asked about the courtesy car and Brian said if it is here, it is yours. We could not of asked for a better greeting. We tied down our planes and headed into town and our motel. Brian had our cell phone and he called us later about a severe weather alert and advised we could move the planes into a hangar that had space. Back to the airport we went and Brian showed us how to get our plane out the next day, pump our gas and pay for it. His help and the help and friendly greeting by other airport board members is appreciated. Thanks Doug and Sam. We flew out four days later after driving to Mackinac rather than fly there due to the low ceiling forecast and high winds. A great trip. We will keep warm thoughts about this airport and its people.
