I believe in making a purchase at every FBO I use, whether it's a small amount of fuel or paying a modest ramp fee. I arrived this evening in a CJ2 to let off a passenger. I didn't need fuel. I was told the ramp fee is $191. $40 a minute just to drop off a passenger. I will tell my dispatcher to avoid Signature HOU.

As always, excellent service by the line and counter staff. However . . . Twice now I have been taken advantage of by Signature's preferred taxi driver. First he indicated the fixed rate from Hobby to Downtown does not apply to him. This past trip his credit card machine was "broken." (Houston taxi drivers for the most part just take a card imprint. There is nothing to break.) My company requires business expenses to be on a credit card, so this was an issue for me. Good service by Signature, but if you need a taxi, ask for a different driver than their standard.

It's sad when based at one Signature location, you are not automatically recognized at another without them wanting to charge a ramp fee. Add to that, the flight planning computers are extremely out of date. IE7 has been around for nearly four years and IE8 almost two years. Their computers are using IE7. Their IT people need to do some upgrading.

I have been flying a King Air into HOU several times a month for 2 years and have found Signature to be an outstanding facility. All the folks who staff the operation are friendly and the services provided are excellent. Thanks to all.

To all you guys that aren't flying a KingAir. Be advised, although very nice, they charge a $35 parking fee for single engine if you don't buy fuel. Response from George Davis General Manager Signature Flight Support, - HOU Mr. Voth, Thank you for visiting Signature Flight Support Houston, we truly appreciate your business. I want to apologize for any inconveniences you may have experienced while visiting us. We do charge a ramp/handling fee for any aircraft that does not purchase fuel. The fees are to help compensate for the many free services (crew car, coffee, papers, ice, etc.) we offer to both you and your passengers on each of your visits. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience, and we look forward to providing world-class service for you again.
