Taxied past the pumps and thought that the hose was missing. What appears to be the hose is in fact, the place where the ground cord goes. The hose is inside the silver box and out of sight. The pump has a problem whereby it starts off VERY slowly. You have to release the trigger on the hose for 10 or 15 seconds and then it will run normally. Not much at this airport. There is a "terminal" building near the pumps. At the moment it is a parking area for FedEx trucks. The building seems to be undergoing some renovation right now. They are painting the outside. It could use it. But nothing is going on inside and no access to the inside. There is a nice cafe on the field. Good food. Other than that, the place is deserted.

No hoses on the pumps! Restaurant looks nice, but we did not eat there. We were on an IFR training trip, and we had great low ceilings, flew the gps 24 approach and broke out around 300 feet.

Pumps are functional but the price is mind-blowing high. I got 4.45 at Astoria and 4.35 at Tillamook. To pay 5.35 for self serve at a deserted airfield with not even a portapotty is nuts. Got 4 gallons to get me anywhere else. No thanks.
