Stopped on the way up to Oshkosh to get fuel and have lunch with some friends. The fella's at the FBO were real friendly and fuel was fair price. Nice field.

We called ahead in May to make arrangements for landing there, renting a car, and driving to Big Cedar Lodge in MO to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Garret took care of everything--even a hangar to protect our Comanche while gone to MO. After MO, we flew to the South and East Coast for two+ more weeks; then needed to "boogie" back to CA for a granddaughter's graduation (while in NC, a plane part delayed us three days). Once running again, we were flying fast & furious to make up time when suddenly unexpected weather got in the way. While frantically looking for a place to set down, we remembered Boone County! At our lunch stop, we again called ahead, and of course!!...We got the same wonderful service as our first visit...Car waiting, hotel reservation service, etc. They're the best, and we highly recommend them!

Had rental car reserved. Arrived on hottest day of the year so far. Line staff had the car waiting on the ramp with the A/C on. Nice touch. Great spot to fly in for a Spring float trip on the nearby Buffalo Natl. River. Lost Valley Canoe in Ponca will ferry your car down to the takeout for $25. Canoes are $45. Just show up before noon and they'll do the rest. We stayed at the near-KHRO Quality Inn, which was surprisingly decent for less than $75. Even though fuel price was $1.00 more than some other nearby airports, we topped off as an appreciation to the Fly Arkansas folks. By the way: for the 42 hours we were in Harrison, EVERY customer service experience we had was a good one. Everyone was very friendly.

Thanks to Garrett and his hospitality at the Harrison airport. He was very helpful in getting my aircraft in the hangar and getting me fuel and providing me transportation to a hotel. Two times on my way out to California and on my way home back to Maryland from the east coast. It's people like this that make up this country. Thanks again Garrett for helping me with our company aircraft it is much appreciated.
