Flew in after hours, not expecting anyone to be around. Don the president of the company was just closing up with one of the line guys. Don offered to take me to and from my hotel on the spot. He also made sure that my plane was secured. What a great and unexpected visit. I also have to thank the line guy in the morning that actually cleaned off the frost on windscreen. Don has a great staff ready to go above and beyond. Thank you everyone. You have a great FBO....

We got a late start from ATW coming home from OSH so we decided to stop in HUT for the night. Evan was there to direct us when we arrived. He was very quick to help us with our bags, making a hotel reservation and calling a cab. We wanted to put the plane in the hangar because of possible thunderstorms but they did not open until 7:00 AM. We wanted an early start so he said no problem he would come in at 6:00 AM and open up for us. That is GREAT service! We asked him for a restaurant recommendation and he told us about a new place owned by a local pilot. The name of the restaurant is Wilder's on Main. The food & service was fantastic. If you are in HUT you must visit this restaurant. Great line service & great food made it a pleasant stop in HUT.

Flew our Baron in for an overnight and requested a hangar for the night. The line person was there immediately to direct us to parking and to help with bags. The plane was in the hangar within 15 minutes of our arrival. When we returned the next morning the plane had been fueled as requested and was pulled out promptly. Very fast, courteous service.

Can't ask for better service. Wells allowed us to use a courtesy car to/from the Airport Steakhouse and then provided transportation to and from the Cosmosphere. I would highly recommend stopping in for both. The food was great at the Steakhouse and the Cosmosphere is a fantastic museum for those interested in the history of rocket engineering and space flight. A fantastic experience and would definitely stop again.

We arrived on a Holiday so most everything around was closed Monday. We were able to get a taxi to the Hotel, Holiday Inn Exp, and the Salt Mine. The cab driver would not take payment until we finished our trip to and from the Salt Mine, to the airport to get luggage and then the Hotel. The airport ATC was user friendly. The pilot lounge is accessible from the ramp. Quick and friendly service from Wells Aviation on departure. They also allowed us to drop our Enterprise rental car in their parking area and leave the keys in their drop box, ramp side. Very nice place to visit. We were also impressed at how clean the city and downtown was. A nice place to visit, fuel, eat and tour.

I was in a hurry to leave Hutchinson to beat some weather near my home in Colorado, when my airplane would not start due to a dead battery. It was Memorial Day and the ATIS announced the FBO was closed. I noticed some activity at the hangar and when I went to investigate I found the owner, Don Rogers, repositioning some airplanes. He graciously towed my airplane down to the Wells hangar and attached the power cart. He refused to take any payment and wished us a safe trip as we taxied away. What great service by a great guy on his day off. Thanks Don and Wells Aircraft.

Last weekend, a group from the Colorado Pilots Association visited Hutchinson on one of our fly-in trips to visit the Underground Salt Mine and the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. (Great place!) Don Wells at Wells Aircraft was incredibly helpful to our group, even shuttling us to one of our locations. One of the members of our group was having a problem with his pitot heat upon departure and Don and his staff were very quick to get it fixed. If you are ever in this part of the country and are looking for a great FBO, Wells Aircraft is it.

Wells aircraft is without a doubt the one of the best FBOs I have ever visited. We flew from Minnesota to Hutchinson to enjoy the good weather and the Cosmosphere (surprisingly great space Museum). Unfortunately, on landing, we got a flat tire, oh ****! Luckily, I met Don Rogers the owner of Wells aircraft. Don went straight to work on the tire; within an hour he had the tire fixed and the plane fueled. I am a homebuilder and pretty frugal but, was completely surprised when Don would not accept any money for his work! Don just said, "Welcome to Kansas", I think I considered moving to Kansas at that point. Finally Don drove us the Cosmosphere Museum and picked us up later. BTW - Hutchinson also is the home of large salt mines, which you can tour; in fact I think there is even a show on the history channel about this. It's nice to know you are going someplace where there are good people if you need help. Hutchinson is one of those places; we are going back.
