Berry Aviation is the only FBO located on the field at the San Marcos Airport. With its convenient location, just 25 minutes south of Austin and 35 minutes north of San Antonio, it is the perfect stop for business and pleasure travelers. Flew into FYI today from SAT. A lineman from the FBO who guided us to a parking spot met us; he placed the chalks, and was very friendly. The FBO itself is one of the best I have been to. It is absolutely clean and the staff very friendly. Even though we didn't need fuel, we did use their computerized weather station and relaxed in their comfortable surroundings for a few minutes. We also ate at Abe's Cafe and the food was great. A nice variety of selections from the menu and the prices were very reasonable. If you are looking for a nice place to stop where the airport is not busy and hospitality great, along with good food, this is the place.

Was stuck for maintenance flying a Starduster Too to Ca. Very helpful, recommended a great FBO for my maintenance needs. Helpful with hotel and rental car. Highly recommend this FBO.

February 29, 2008 Berry Aviation has a great FBO with very good staff who are always friendly. Jim is extremely helpful whether it's information about places to eat or things going on in San Marcos. They also have redone the FBO and it looks fabulous! New pilot's lounge has really comfortable leather chairs to relax in. Abe's Airport Cafe on the field is open Tuesdays through Saturdays 9am to 3pm and food is really good there. Also open on Sundays 10 - 2pm on a trial basis. My wife and I had lunch there today and thoroughly enjoyed it. You can also get lattes and cappuccinos there. Its nice to know that there is a good place to eat on the field. Overall rating of this FBO and Abe's Airport Cafe - VERY GOOD!

Turn about is fair play. My previous trip to HYI at Berry Aviation was not one to remember. My trip on 30 Jan 2008 involved an extremely strong head wind and conditions that turned IMC. I had called prior to departure to confirm my arrival would be near the closing time. I was 15 min overdue. When on the ground I contacted Berry Aviation and the lineman said he was waiting on me and would direct me to parking. He tied down my Skylane and then helped carry bags into the office. He took care to make sure the rental car paper work was correct and had directions to where I was going in San Marcos. On return to the airport I was pleased to find that the fueling order had been taken care of earlier in the day. Job well done. I'll be back. Thank you. Jim Jordan

Stopped in without calling ahead and received a lightning fast quick turn. Excellent service. Fuel was almost two dollars cheaper than our regular stop, KAUS. Very nice waiting room for the passengers. We'll be back.

I stopped in on 11/5 to make an early meeting in Austin. The lineman directed me to park my 210 right up front with a Citation X. They had my rent car waiting on the ramp. Fuel price is reasonable and the service excellent. Since my last visit they have completely remodeled the FBO. The customer lounge is very comfortable and they have a top-notch pilot lounge taking shape. The restaurant was closed on Mondays, but folks on the field gave it good marks. I would recommend HYI to anyone doing business in the Austin area.

Called ahead to let them know I would be arriving 15-30 min prior to closing on 12 Sept. 07. Asked for hangar for a 182 for the night and the attendant said they would probably have room, but ask upon arrival. I arrived at about 15 min prior to closing. Lineman asked if I needed help with bags and told him no (only two small ones) but would like hangar space. He said he would check. The other guy handled the rent car paper work. These guys were in a hurry to leave. After taking bags to rent car I went back to inquire about the car being 3/4 full and about a place to eat and, I found the place locked up. I assumed this meant no hangar space so I relocated my plane to the tie down area and tied my plane down myself. Fuel is big airport priced with less than expected service

Stopped in on Aug 12th thru the 15th 07 for a business trip. Plane was fueled in no time! Great FBO, New terminal building, friendly staff. Would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

I have stopped on 2 separate occasions and have been met by linemen both times. The pretty blonde behind the desk was helpful in giving me one of their 2 courtesy cars, though San Marcos isn't exactly a "hopping metropolis". Worst part of my visit has been Arby's putting provolone instead of cheddar on my sandwich, but I digress. Cheap fuel, good service, and a pretty are all I could have asked for. I recommend this FBO.

Landed on a busy Sunday afternoon. Good friendly service; offered to chock the plane after fueling; no food service at airport, but they voluntarily offered to lend me the courtesy car to go into town.
