Stopped into KIDP yesterday on a cross-country flight. The FBO was closed. The self-serve pump was working but the hose and grounding strap are too short to reach the far wing of a single engine aircraft. I had to maneuver the aircraft into the small pullout by hand in 20+ knot winds. No wheel chocks by the fuel pumps. Delays in getting the hose to the aircraft resulted in multiple time-outs on the fuel pump. Now have multiple credit authorizations on credit card. Door to bathroom did not open with appropriate code. (1st three of Approach/Departure freq.) My family and I won't be back to Independence, Kansas.
