Stopped in for a late night refuel en route to RDU. Airport very accessible. Price as advertised. Atlanta Approach very helpful with flight following. Pilot's lounge has keypad with access to late travelers via UNICOM code. Owner heard us come in and dropped by to ensure we had everything we needed, even at 930 pm! Only negative - cell phone coverage for T-Mobile didn't work.

Bad weather made us land here in late July. What a pleasant surprise! A local gentleman named Marion was at the airport at the time and helped arranged for our transportation to town. We had lunch at the Bicycle Club and waited for weather to clear. No luck so we spent the night across the street at the historic Fitzpatrick Hotel. It is newly renovated and fantastic. WOW! This was without a doubt the nicest un-planned weather stop we ever had. Chris made us feel very welcome at This Old Plane. We landed at Washington Count by accident but will visit again on purpose! GREAT local people :-)
