Throughout my many years of flying Jack Edwards Airport has to be one of the most pilot friendly airports I have ever flown into. The line staff is exceptional and always on the spot and the desk ladies are the tops, they always greet you with a smile and take care of your every request very expeditiously. If you've never gone to KJKA... Put it on your list of "must stops"!! Keep up the great work!!

Another run yesterday for our favorite $100 hamburger, GAC was fantastic and accommodating as always...Thanks a bunch! You guys/gals are always so efficient and professional, and your facility so comfortable. My lil girl loved the sporty red Mustang, too :)Response from Katie Christopher, General Manager, Gulf Air Center I am delighted that our most recent customers have been so pleased with our service. Thank you for visiting with us, and we certainly appreciate the feedback. Customers are the best thing about this business, so please continue to let us know how we are doing, and we can't wait to see your faces again!

Jack Edwards is a great airport for the beaches. We came in just for a weekend on the beach. The staff was prompt to bring our car out to the plane and was more than friendly. Overall a great experience! Whenever traveling to the Gulf Shores / Orange Beach area I will be sure to use Gulf Air Center again!

My wife and I flew in for Memorial Day weekend. Arrived on Friday and was promptly marshaled to a parking spot. Two business jets arrived about the same time and I was parked between them, so they got the attention and the golf carts. I would have done the same thing. Service at the desk inside was pleasant and efficient. When I arrived at the airport for departure on Monday, the plane was fueled and ready. Tie-down was $12 per night, but they waived one night because of my relatively small fuel purchase. They apologized for not being able to tow my plane up to the terminal because of the holiday rush, but they did drive us down the ramp to the plane. Overall it was a good experience.

Came in in N62TC this Memorial Day weekend. The place was busy, with about 7 in the pattern and the ramp nearly full. We decided to go at the last minute and called about 2 hours before arrival. They found a car for us, hangar space and everything was speedy despite the pace on the ramp. The same for the departure today, lots going on, but the plane was out at the ramp and the line guys all over us to help out. I may still try the other guys due to cheap fuel but Gulf Air did a great job for me and my family.

Made a Hertz reservation with FBO. She couldn’t give me a rate. When I arrived, the girl gave me a Hertz contract to sign W/O any numbers on it. I asked for the rate and she said she didn’t know. I asked how am I supposed to sign a contract w/o numbers on it. She said she didn’t know and that the SUV was usually about $100/day. I marked a max charge on the contract of $150 (to inc. Taxes/misc) and signed.. Ridiculous but I was in a hurry. Returned 4 hours later, they still didn’t have a rate. I asked that my plane be pulled up. She said they couldn’t, the linemen were busy. I replied that service had gone down there lately. She grinned ear-to-ear and said "Sorry"! Clearly she didn't care. We walked out to the plane, down and across the ramp. Got my cc bill today..$202 for 4 hours rental. I called Hertz and they reduced the bill and said don't call that FBO anymore to make reservations, use the 800-number. The previous poster also seemed to have a rental problem at this FBO. You decide for yourself.

Something has changed. We arrived on Friday 22 April, and wanted to go to a local restaurant for an early supper. We knew the wait there was going to be more than an hour so decided to rent a Hertz car for a few hours and, at $39.95 + tax thought it would be reasonable to leave the crew cars for others arriving later. The bill was $54.89! Be warned - maybe tax is 37% and maybe it isn't. (I don't think that the PA28 was flavor of the day either with King Airs around at the same time).Response from Ricky Hudson, General Manager, Gulf Air Center To all Gulf Air Center customers, I want to say Thank You. I appreciate your business and your comments both good and bad. Good comments mean that we are doing our job right and the negative comments say we have room to improve. It disappoints me when I find out that an action initiated by Gulf Air Center has caused someone to have a bad experience. In regards to the two recent comments, I have now posted the Hertz rates that show the final cost for a daily rental with all taxes and fees included. Gulf Air Center has worked extremely hard to improve our customer service and to go the extra mile for pilots, crews and passengers. We have upgraded our FBO facilities for your comfort and we offer free food 7 days a week to Pilots and Crews at our "Jack's Aces" Pilot and Crew Hangout. Gulf Air Center strives to make your experience at Gulf Shores a great one no matter what you are flying. Please accept my apology and I look forward to serving you in the future.

We flew into Jack Edwards Airport today to go into Gulf Shores and have some lunch on the beach. The service was great right from the start. A marshaller was waiting for us in parking and asked if we needed assistance right away. We borrowed a crew car from Gulf Air Center, which was a really nice brand new Ford Mustang, with no problems. They have Hertz rental cars available too if you need a car for longer than about an hour. Overall we had a great experience and this is a really nice airport. We will definitely be back...Thanks!

What a pleasure it was to fly out of Jack Edwards Airport with amazing service from the Gulf Air Center. I was there to pick up my Diamond aircraft after my son hangared it there for the summer. The FBO staff and instructors were so polite and professional. They made sure the aircraft was ready upon my arrival and flew with me to get familiar with the airport, surroundings and to get reacquainted with my aircraft prior to my return to Houston. Now where else can you get service like that? I would highly recommend this airport, FBO and instructor, Rod. KJKA is very well maintained, beautiful ocean scenery with great service. Thank you again for your hospitality.

It didn't take long for the new FBO to raise all the prices. Prices were good and reasonable until they eliminated the competition. Great service and staff though. Manager did not return my phone call to discuss hangers. Monthly car parking and fuel is really high - ridiculous for this type of GA airport. Very disappointed. Was a regular and hoped things had changed here. Response from Kel Jones - General Manager - Gulf Air Center, Inc. Mr. Suggs, I regret that we have seen Crude Oil go up from $44 per barrel to $84 per barrel since we opened last year. Yes, our retail fuel prices have increased 40% over the same period, but that is much less than the underlying commodity increase of 90%. We committed to be competitive to our customers in fuel price in the surrounding area. That commitment has not changed. We are a full service location, self-serve fuel is not available as an option at KJKA and it will always be difficult to compete with on price. Gulf Air Center eliminated ramp fees at the airport too. We believed our customers would support this decision and they have by their fuel purchase decisions. I appreciate the compliment to our team; they try their best to deliver excellent service every day. I personally apologize for not returning your call. I do not know how that slipped through. I will endeavor to find your number and contact you directly. Sincerely,

Our longtime favorite $100 hamburger but first stop at KJKA since Gulf Air Center, same impeccable and impressive facility & service that we have come to expect & appreciate! Busy Saturday so crew car was already gone but it's a short walk to LuLu's and we met up with friends there and toured the Nina & Pinta which were docked for the weekend...Fun stuff! Engine issues on run-up to return home, and Ashley was of immense assistance in obtaining a mechanic on a late Saturday afternoon (Bryant is awesome & responsive, and still helping us out as it turned out to be a major issue). And when it became apparent that we'd have to leave the plane there she quickly got us a 1-way rental to get us back home (New Orleans) and even fussed at Enterprise to get us the best rate! Thanks a BUNCH Ashley!!

Great FBO!!! Flew in around sunset in my R-44 helicopter the evening of Friday 16 October on my way back to FL from CA. Staff was immediately available to direct me to a secure parking spot away from fixed-wing parking. The next morning when I arrived back at Gulf Air Center the helicopter was fueled and ready to go. Staff took the time to inform me about getting a clearance for a shoreline transition into FL rather than following I-10. Sweet!!! When you pull into the ramp at JKA be prepared to be wowed by the yellow and red shirted linemen at each FBO. The last night I came in it was raining and the red shirts almost got me by wearing a yellow rain coat. I spotted the gentleman from GAC who guided me in to a stop right in front of the open hangar doors. He then proceeded to tow me in the hangar so I wouldn't have to get wet exiting the aircraft. Now THAT'S service! After that they gave me a ride to the hotel so I wouldn't have the added expense of a rental car. My understanding is these folks usually have the best fuel price as well. This is definitely our preferred FBO at JKA.
