I fly into Hillsdale quite a bit, and while service is minimal, they've always managed anything I need. They seem more set up for locals then transients - no consistency in tie-down fees (always low, if they charge them). But they work well with a couple of local auto dealers - Frank Beck Chevrolet, and Leutheuser Buick, who deliver rental cars, including pick-up on weekends and returns after hours, at reasonable prices.

Flew in with my son from Spokane WA. Very friendly staff. My son was visiting Hillsdale College. What a great school. Sure hope he gets accepted and decides to attend.

Good news at KJYM; An airport expansion program has been approved and will include a runway expansion, to 5000 X 100, a precision GPS approach, taxiway, and new FBO buildings. KJYM has been a frequent stop this past year, and this week the close in trees have been taken down in prep for construction.

Flew two students in yesterday in the T206H for a visit to Hillsdale College. Hillsdale Aero was very helpful with transportation, fuel and parking. A neat, organized aiport operation. Hillsdale Airport provides convenient access to the College, only about 2.5 miles from campus.
