Flew in for lunch on Saturday. The restaurant is in the main terminal building, second floor. There is a lot of terminal construction and some construction in the restaurant. Ok service in placing the order and getting the food but way slow in getting the bill. Big menu, sandwiches of many types, most items around $9. I got a shrimp po boy and it was so so. I'm spoiled tho as the last one I had was in New Orleans a few months ago! The wife's fish sandwich (unknown type) was kinda thin. Wireless was secure, not available. Headsets on the window tables were tuned into the ATIS... Like I want to listen to that for an hour? Weird.Response from David Layman, Owner, Earhart's Runway Grill In response to a guest comment about Earharts, Yes there is much construction and renovation happening these next couple of months and this is why things such as wireless Internet have been compromised. The headsets at Earharts that entertain our patrons have a three-position switch on the face that clearly lists, TOWER, GROUND and ATIS as the three available frequencies. I also have eaten many a Po'Boy in Louisiana and do not profess to copy someone else’s recipe but rather serve our own personal variation of it, which seems to sell very well and is referred to in a much better light than just so-so. As to a thin fish sandwich? A lightly breaded 10-OUNCE fish fillet sandwich is one of our guests favorites and the only thing missing might be the additional 5 ounces of thick greasy batter some people have grown accustomed to seeing.
