Diverted here when KGLS went LIFR Saturday. Great food (out of oysters that day but the shrimp po boy had the biggest shrimp I've ever eaten!)! Didn't need fuel, but the restaurant is very good! Good selection, definitely "home town". Many locals there watching the few planes that did come in land.

The Windsock is a wonderful place to visit. The atmosphere is like a small country club with many locals dressing nicely to enjoy fine dining. The hamburgers (Windsock burgers) are great and the portions plentiful. One of the best airport restaurants in the South.

Food is a bit pricey. It is quite good, however. Don't order a coke. They charge $1.89 for one can. That is a rip off.

As mentioned below the food is good and the prices reasonable. Also mentioned below there is a problem with the lack of a friendly attitude by one of the wait staff. The others are very friendly. Don't let one person keep you from going.
