The folks at La Grange were friendly and very helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

A favorite stop to and from the North, to Florida. Long runway, ILS, self-service fuel if desired and a nice FBO that is friendly and helpful. Check out the USN COD 'Stoof' (C1A) in the hangar next door.

This was a great place to stop. Fuel was reasonable (not cheap and not overpriced), the facilities were EXCELLENT and the service was GREAT. I took on 20 gallons and tied down overnight so there was no overnight fee. It was a weekend and things were somewhat busy but someone was there to meet me at the aircraft and assist with the parking/fueling needs before the prop stopped. If I have to schedule a stop south of Atlanta, this would be my first choice.

Stopped for wx last night. The terminal building was closed but Daniel was inside waiting on a scheduled arrival that was obviously delayed for the same storms that sent us to KLGC! Even though they were closed he called a cab for us and let us wait in the lobby until the taxi arrived. Had just filled up at KGAD so couldn't take on much fuel. Was shocked the next morning when I was told it was a $16 tie down charge if we weren't purchasing fuel! Needless to say, I topped off with what little fuel I could take! Overall a nice experience.

Arrived KLGC as our final stop with my family on 7/4/09. Had arranged with Avis to deliver a car to the FBO several days’ prior, and confirmed my reservation the night before arrival. Arrive about 9:30 AM on the fourth and there is no one at the FBO, everything is locked up, and no car. Called Avis, who initially insisted there was no airport in LaGrange. Finally got someone higher up who admitted there was an airport and said they dropped the ball in getting the reservation to the local office. Avis and all other car rental places in the area were closed, or didn't have cars. Called the airport manager at the phone number posted, he said they were closed for the holiday, and they don't use Avis because of too many problems like this. I did met an exceptionally good samaritan on the field who offered to let us use his personal car, and have nothing but the kindest thoughts of appreciation for that gesture. However, it was more than we could accept and we elected to fly out elsewhere.
