On Nov 19, 2011, I needed to refuel my Lear 40. I called ahead and found out that only self refueling would be available. I asked the airport manager, Paul Moses, that when I arrived, would be all right if I just called him so he could just talk me through refueling since I have never completely done a self refuel on a jet before? Paul said he'd be glad to help. When I arrived at Lancaster, Paul was already there waiting for us. He came in on his day off (first class). But I already made up my mind that I wanted to learn how to refuel in case I ever came to an airport that only had self refueling available. Paul was glad to oblige and he talked me through every aspect of refueling from A to Z. So my hat's off to Paul. I feel confident, that if I ever had to do it again, I would know what to do. Thanks so much Paul Moses and Aviation Works for teaching me how to self refuel whenever I come to the next self serve facility. You guys are tops. Sincerely Joe Herrera, Texas.

On the way to visit son in Raleigh and got stuck in bad weather. Had to stop and spend the night. Great experience. This is the cleanest FBO around. Keep up the good work. Fuel stops anytime I'm that way. See you often.

I want to commend the staff/owners of the on-field maintenance facility at KLKR. Yesterday I arrived at LKR from Hilton Head to pickup our CAP plane which had been on the ramp for a week. On take-off I lost air speed indication and fortunately was able to abort the take-off and land on your wonderfully long runway. I taxied to the maintenance building when Justin and his colleague opened the pitot tube access panel, disconnected the pneumatic tube and blew out the remnants of a dauber bee's mud construction. Apparently this was the third such event (mud in a pitot tube) at the airfield in the past week. I would have been in a real fix with limited options if not for your professional and friendly folks at Lancaster Airport. Thanks to them for their help and to the county for having this service at Lancaster.
