Once again wanted to use Central American but couldn't as I was arriving Saturday afternoon after noon, and there was no way to get a rental car there. Enterprise wouldn't leave a car as they said Central American wouldn't take responsibility for it. No problem at the competitor. Would like to use Central American again... But need to be able to get a rental car there.
Response from Kimberly Roseberry, Central American Airways Mr. Wilson, I'm sure you have found out by now that Enterprise cannot leave cars here with us. We do not have a contract with them that allows cars to be left after hours. There are other rental car operation's we work with that can leave cars here such as Hertz and Avis. Please give us a call the next time you are flying in and we will work hard to get a car here for you.

Please hang a large "out of order" sign on the Shell self serve pump to save customers the hassle that we recently experienced. We wasted half an hour prior to our departure on Friday morning -- taxiing over to the pump, trying to get it to work, and then in frustration taxiing over to the Chevron pumps to get fuel. The pump even authorized my credit card for the fuel purchase, but no fuel was available. This is poor service.
Response from Kimberly Roseberry, Central American Airways Mr. Patterson. I am sorry that you had this problem. Our self-serve pump has been out of service since March of this year. We are working on getting it fixed. If you were here during our hours you could have called the FBO and we would have sent a fuel truck down to you and gave you the self-serve discount. We do not have a self-serve price listed because self-serve does not work. As soon as we get it fixed we will post the self-serve price letting everyone know that the pump is up and running.

I usually use Central American when I come to Louisville. Unfortunately, this time we were arriving after 6 p.M., and I found there was no way to have a rental car available for us in the evening. There is no cooperative arrangement between Enterprise counter at the FBO and the FBO itself, apparently, to allow a rental car pickup after the Enterprise people depart. This was unfortunate and disappointing -- had to go to a competitor FBO on the field as a result. Hopefully this situation will get resolved soon.

Stopped at Central Am to avoid some weather moving through IN. Line guys were great; later asked if we wanted tied down when it looked like Louisville might get the edge of the storm. Very nice FBO, 2 televisions to help pass the time. Gals in the office were personable. We'll be back.

We had another five-day layover, but this time it was during Thunder Over Louisville. The ramp was mobbed but the staff got everyone moved around and fueled. I watched how they moved the 340 and the crew was very good and did not overturn the nosewheel.

Had a nice visit to Central American and a five-day stay over. Very nice folks, but their self-serve is not working for a while. They did give me the self-serve price from out of the truck. Hopefully they can find the funds to upgrade their self-serve and truck.

Another positive experience at Central American. As usual, the car rental with Sandy at Thrifty was great -- car was provided after-hours by Central American staff, and return on Sunday morning was no problem. Highly recommended!
