September 12, 2011 stopped for fuel and overnight. Steve is one of the best in the business. He met me at the pump, like he has for the past five years when I make my annual trip through his area. He's friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in making your stay a pleasant experience. See you next year Steve.

Stopped in for lunch and used the courtesy car; it runs great. Good fuel prices, clean bathroom!! An excellent place to stop in for a break.

I landed at KLQR after business hours on a holiday weekend in a 40kt wind. This stop was intended to be for fuel only but a fast moving warm front changed my plans. Since I was in a Super Cub, ground taxing and handling was tricky. I managed to secure the aircraft and self service my fuel. The winds were predicted to get even worse. I called Steve, the airport manager, and he said that he and his son would be right out to help me wing walk the Cub to protected hangar space. Steve interrupted a holiday family dinner to come the the airport and help me. He provided hangar space and the airport courtesy car with detailed information on local hotels and restaurants. The airport has a concrete North-South runway and for us tail dragger grass lovers, two grass runways with plenty of well cut infield area to land in any direction one chooses. I highly recommend Larned Airport for a fuel or overnight stop. Steve is a true professional that will make you you feel right at home.

Great fuel stop on our trip from KEPM Eastport Maine to DVT Phoenix AZ. Self serve fuel was a bargain, the courtesy car was available even though no one was at the airport. It's short drive into town for lunch or a hotel. Steve the airport manager arrived while we were having lunch. Nice guy for sure! We'd recommend stopping at LQR!!

Steve, the airport manager, makes this the best stop ever. Fuel and a courtesy car are convenient. Steve is especially personable and helpful. He helped me with a minor repair by taking me into town for parts and took me to a machinist friend who completed the job. This was a very pleasant stopover.

Steve now runs the FBO. He's a great guy who assists with the quirky self serve card reader. Nice courtesy car and places to stay. Good fuel stop and overnite place.

Stopped in for fuel while on the way to Kentucky. Price was as advertised. Things were pretty basic - no computer or wifi available, but the gas was cheap and the pump easy to use.
