Had an unscheduled stop here due to icing in IFR conditions. Not a big place, but the airport manager has some real heart. ATC called him to make sure we got down safely, and he was very concerned. Went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, turned on the heat and offered drinks and snacks. He took a stressful situation and turned it into a real pleasurable experience.

4-16-13 Beech A-36 Bonanza. Made a quick stop for fuel on return from Sun & Fun. Taxiing out for departure, the nose wheel tire went flat. Called Fred, the airport mgr. and he came to pick us up at the run up pad. He had a spare nose wheel strut from his Debonair that he loaned us the wheel from. He put it on and sent us on our way and just said to send it back when we could. What a Great guy!!!

4-5-13 Stopped for fuel and spend the night on way to Sun & Fun. Fred, the manager met us at the pump to help us fuel. We used the courtesy vehicle to hotel and dinner at Kranberry's. Fred gave my wife a book to read on the trip. Great guy!!

Great fuel prices and the self serve pump worked well. I was there after hours but a sign on the door told me what I needed to know. The facilities looked nice peeking through the window. I would definitely stop here again.

Stopped in a Mooney in Feb 2013 for their great fuel prices. Was pleasantly surprised to find a crew car with keys inside, although no one was at the field. Apparently, you have to drive on a dirt road for a while to get out, so I didn't bother. Unfortunately, my debit card was put on hold a couple days later because I was charged TWICE for the fuel. The weird thing is that the amount of the 2nd charge was a little different from the first. Which indicates some kind of fraud. Thankfully, my bank caught it and I was not held responsible for it. However, doesn't want to make me come back.

Stopped in on flight from San Diego to Houston for fuel after we heard the $5.15 fuel price on the AWOS. Great service, crew car standing by with key in the ignition, restaurants nearby, and complimentary drinks, chips, and candy bars. Fueling went very quickly, and the price was right. Great stop!

Arrived late on a Friday for fuel and decided to stay overnight. The FBO gave us access to their courtesy truck and directions to a local hotel. Great place to stop with great folks.

If there was something more than 5 stars I'd give it. Amazing service, wish the big cities were this nice. Crew car on site, but Fred wasn't sure about it, so he gave us his personal vehicle! Great guy, great little airport.

I agree with the previous comment. The fuel price is good, the manager is friendly, and they offer refreshments and a crew car. For an overnight stop, I had a good experience with the nearby Best Western, which offers a free shuttle to/from the airport.

Fuel is far cheaper than Deming or other airports nearby. Fred, the airport manager/worker offered to fuel the airplane even though it is self serve. Courtesy car is available 24 hours a day with the key kept in the vehicle even with the airport unattended. Town is close, and they even have free candy bars and bottled water at the FBO! The best touch ever was they had a pocket remote controlled helicopter that he let us fly in the attached hangar while waiting out the weather.

Arrived at approx 1600L and self-serve fuel remained priced as advertised and the fueling process went without notable exception--113.5 gallons. Inside, I patiently waited for use of the restroom while a gentleman of stopped stature washed and washed. When he exited, I tried some friendly conversation--it wasn't well received. When I exited, I tried some friendly exchange again--the friendliness was not reciprocal. I hope things improve for the person under consideration, life is much too short.

Self-serve equipment works well and makes for a nice quick stop for a topoff coming out of Phoenix.
