I flew into Mexia about a month ago on one of my solo x-country flights. It was a great airport. I was after hours but the door was still open with coke machines and a phone. The airport itself is in great condition this airport is definitely a preferred stop for anyone.

While en route to San Antonio from Michigan I had an alternator problem and had to land at LXY. The folks at Trim-Aire were really great. I was given the crew van to drive to San Antonio and was able to have Christmas with the relatives. Upon my return the day after Christmas, my plane was repaired and waiting.

Mexia is nice. Enjoyed the line staff and very friendly atmosphere. Will continue to utilize the airport when doing my cross-countries.

Nice folks. Had to divert because of MVFR weather. While we were waiting it out, they offered us a courtesy van in to town to grab some breakfast. Good food at the Drilling Rig restaurant up the road.

Mexia Wasn't my planned destination, but I had to divert here because of an airsick passenger. Randy, the airport attendant, was extremely helpful. Topped off the tanks for us and offered his van for transportation into town. Great place to stop and refuel (and help a queasy passenger).
