Great little airport to stop into! Buddy & Bill are a few of the great group of guys that helped my company out as I went down to KLXY to aid in recovery for a company Beech 99! The new airport terminal is almost finished. Cheap fuel. Nice Chinese Food joint up the road; "Magic China". Highly recommended!

Quiet airport, but a good stop. Self-serve fuel is easy and they offer to fuel the plane for you. I was also offered the one office computer to check weather ahead. The airport is small, but the shop is pretty busy with twins, both turbine and piston. Looks like the vending machines are new. I'd stop again.

Late evening severe thunderstorms pushed us to Mexia. We arrived after hours but Bill came out and greeted us and helped arrange a cab into town. A very nice gesture after a rough afternoon. The following morning we found the "coffee crew" checking out our helicopter. Very friendly airport with a relaxing vibe. Lots of waves from the audience that watched us depart. Fuel prices were very reasonable. Holiday Inn Express is very nice and not far up the road.

Great FBO, great airport. Lake Limestone (to the South of the field) has a very beautiful view and some interesting geographical features at its south end. Flew in on evening. Even though we went for self serve, the FBO staff came out and filled the airplane for us. Let us use the phone inside. Vending machine wasn't working though. Gave us a tour of one of the hangars, where 10-15 Chieftains were undergoing maintenance. According to the line guy, this airport sees a lot of Chieftains for maintenance.
