The airport at Mexia is in very good shape. Runway, taxiways and ramp are all very good. The Terminal building is near the fuel pumps. The FBO is across the way from the Terminal Building. The FBO has cars and other services. The terminal is nice facility but not much going on there other than restrooms and a fuel desk. Not far from the airport is a BBQ restaurant. Kirby's BBQ is quite good and the prices are very reasonable. It is not too much of a walk from the FBO or terminal but if the weather is really hot or cold, borrow the car from the FBO. Overall a great place to visit. Nice facilities, reasonable fuel prices and the people are nice.

The old man at the FBO is very rude!

Trim-Aire (FBO) couldn't find the keys to the limo (a very nice Lincoln) and immediately put me in the owner's personal car for the short trip to the BBQ joint. New runway paint and new concrete ramp - a great place for lunch.
