This is a great FBO. The staff and service is top notch! I really appreciate the great care they took to tie down my airplane right in front of the building. Although the Avis rental car wasn't dropped off as planned, the Thunderbird staff helped me make alternate arrangements.

FBO staff is very helpful and tiedowns are free and gas is reasonable for metro area, especially when you bring in a copy of their AirNav description with the $0.30 per gal discount.

Stopped in at Thunderbird on my way to Denver in a Piper Aztec. The facilities are kind of run down. There is no quiet room and the televisions don't work. I do have to say that they have excellent customer service. They will do anything to help you. The line service tech even let me borrow his personal vehicle to get something to eat (no crew cars). Hopefully, they invest into the facilities a little because I will definitely be back if they do.

We arrived at Thunderbird today for a couple of days. The lineman was very helpful and friendly. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly, arranged for a rental car in advance, provided directions for our travel. Fuel prices were good. I highly recommend Thunderbird.

I stopped here Tuesday, real nice folks and a helpful mechanic and line guys. I'll definitely be back and hope the city of Crystal puts a bit more into the facilities. The control tower was helpful and set me up with vectors and flight following. Rental car was there and full of fuel. Cheap inside hangar and plug in to warm up.

I stopped at Thunderbird early on a Saturday morning to pick up passengers. They have easy access, and were more than friendly. The staff was very helpful, they even made coffee for me the way I like it.

Great FBO and tower for the area. No ramp, parking or overnight fees. Great fuel price plus an additional AirNav discount. Line guys were absolutely terrific. Second time to the area on business and this time I came to KMIC instead of the St Paul Executive Airport. The cab ride was probably only ten minutes longer to downtown and an extra ten bucks, well worth it for the savings over 3 days. One problem that was no fault of the FBO: if arriving from the Southeast, ATC will take you low and wide around the Class B, even if IFR, with several vectors, very bureaucratic. So, if its just a quick stop and your in from the southeast, St Paul could be better when considering the extra flight time and vectoring. Otherwise, and maybe even then, its KMIC and Thunderbird all the way.

Very good service. They pulled the rental car up to the plane, and the lineman even offered to clean the bugs off of the plane due to it being a slow day.

I arrived on a Friday evening, 4/4/09 in a Bonanza. My flaps wouldn't retract. They found a mechanic to work on them at 7am on Saturday morning (from Flying Scotsman, which also deserves some credit). Very reasonable fuel. Very friendly and helpful. The best FBO I've visited in a long while.
