Tailwind Aviation (Kevin Snyder, A&P) saved my bacon. He dropped everything on a Friday afternoon to fix a leaking gascolator and get me back in the air. Great rates, professional and friendly service. Tailwind Aviation is not associated with the FBO, you will have to call Kevin yourself.

During a planned landing gear rework Tailwind discovered an engine case crack, which had been misdiagnosed by other maintenance shops. Their sharp eye and attention to detail probably kept me from landing in a field. Kevin and company did a great rework of the landing gear and installed the rebuilt engine. Their attention to details and honesty is outstanding. Kevin prides his company on doing what they promise.

Tailwind is not my normal service provider but they were able to help me out in a pinch. Left the battery switch on, killed the battery and Kevin was right there to fix me up.

We became stranded with starter issues in C172S on Ocracoke Island (40 miles away) and these guys properly diagnosed issue by phone, found correct part in Florida, had it shipped quickly to them at MRH, and then flew up to install.... All within 24 hours from first call. Wow! Great service and know how from Captain Kevin (and staff) and no BS. Real A&P's solving immediate problems.... A rare trait, sadly. Would recommend to all AND will.

I flew to KMRH this weekend with a low battery problem. Kevin Snyder's Tailwind Aviation (252) 515-4081 took great care of me. He was very professional, fast at returning my calls, took care of my battery asap, and did it all after hours on a Friday night. And also, he did it for free! Thank you Kevin.
