Lakeshore Aviation has an awesome low price for auto gas. The only catch is that you need to taxi to the pump - just north of the office and next to the fuel trucks. A friendly person will be out to help you. Highly recommended.

My wife and I flew in for the International Comanche mass fly-in at Oshkosh this year. Curt Drum made us feel right at home for the night. Curt even arranged dinner for some of the ICS group at a local restaurant. The meal and service was outstanding. Curt did a great job for us, hope to see him again next year.

This was a great stop for fuel and a quick lunch. Nice facilities. They let me use the courtesy car to get a bite to eat at a restaurant about 1/2 mile away. Good food, service, and prices. They had me topped off by the time I got back. Fuel prices were reasonable. Not a very busy airport, yet it is attended all weekend. Will stop again.

Flew into MTW for Oshkosh to stay away from the zoo at the other fields. The airport was quiet with a few planes coming and going. The big secret is that you can get IFR arrival and departure clearances into MTW with out a reservation when you can't do that for any of the other airports in the area. The Lakeshore Aviation people were great, took good care of the plane and would have put in a hangar if a severe storm came up. Arranged for a rental car from a local family owned business in town. The drive to Appleton where we stayed was about 45 min. This is definitely the place where we will come back to when coming to Oshkosh.

Great FBO also offers Sea Plane training. If you plan on heading to the June "mistake by the lake" air show, think twice. There was no signs or persons to direct parking. This resulted in many aircraft having to do 180 and taxi-back. Parking was on the sloped grass next to a taxiway. The guy behind me had a nice twin bonanza and had trouble swinging it around in the mushy grass while avoiding the taxiway lights. EAA breakfast was OK with friendly folks from the local chapter. Flight line marking and control was BAD. Lots of CAP types either standing around or barking out orders only to be told by other CAPs that walking well within the yellow flight line markers was okay.

Great FBO. For the price of fuel my Cessna was hangared overnight. They even arranged for a rent a car late on a Saturday afternoon. I could not expect better service.
