Nice airport, friendly service. Didn't buy fuel because at $5.19 /gal this is too high. I'm shooting for $4.65 or less as a benchmark. Crownair is close to the Terminal building on south side of the field. I did not use their services; rather I parked in the transient spots at the terminal building. Overnight parking fee due to the City of San Diego is $5/night. The walk-in gate code is posted on the gate; the drive in code is ATIS. Easy in-easy out. An envelope is left with the aircraft and payment of the fee can be mailed in or paid in person. The only accept cash or check. Very convenient for accessing the San Diego region.

I have been using Crownair for several years and have always been satisfied with their line service. Last week after arriving from Louisiana in my RV-7A I asked Don Maughnan to inspect my engine for a suspected oil leak. I can't thank Don and his staff enough for the quality service they provided. I would recommend Crownair to anyone in the San Diego area.

Flew into KMYF on Thursday, Dec 14th. Everything was great till we met an ill-humored, petulant young kid named Devin at CrownAir. While we did get the services we needed it was handled with such a poor, disinterested, unhelpful attitude that it left you feeling like you were really bothering them. Sorry! The place really is kind of a dump with zero zero zero personality. Next time I/we will definitely try Gibbs. They seem to get rave reviews. Not so for this place.

The folks in the line department were very helpful in the usual ways, but I was most impressed with the folks at the parts department (especially Mr. Baca). As a transient pilot and A&P I really appreciated their willingness to help me obtain the parts I needed to get my airplane repaired. I will definitely visit this FBO again, but I won't expect any help from Bill Craig, apparently his time is far more valuable than yours.

Flew into MYF to drop off passengers. Called Crownair 20 minutes out requesting a taxi and fuel. Finally called for our own taxi after waiting 30 minutes and never got the fuel or saw any line personnel to help. Next time I used Gibbs with wonderful service.
