Flew in for a Charger's game, called them on Unicom after I turned onto "their" taxiway (J) and requested transportation. They had a car waiting for me when I walked in and we were on our way to the stadium within 5 minutes of engine shutdown! Same treatment when we left, and no ramp fee (we didn't need fuel)! Yes, the facility looks like it hasn't been remodeled since the 70's, and the bathrooms could use some work, but for our purposes it was perfect!

Stopped here for a conference in San Diego flying a TBM700. Upon arrival, rental car (Enterprise) was brought to the plane. Fuel is reasonable too, $3 cheaper than our home base. The facilities aren't premier but neither are the prices, I'd come back without hesitation. My only concern is the ramp conditions for turbine aircraft, lots of debris and deteriorating conditions. Otherwise, this was a great stop with great service.

Excellent! I fly in Europe and this FBO is a dream for the GA pilot. Very friendly, efficient and cortège people. Had a flat battery and in less than 2 minutes I was going. Courtesy car worked great. MANY THANKS GIBBS!

I went to MYF to spend the day down in San Diego. Gave them 3 hours notice that I was arriving and wanted a rental car. When I got there contacted them on the Unicom, they directed me where to park and brought the car out to the plane. Very reasonable price for the car and one of the simplest transactions I have ever had. Very friendly staff, no parking fee for the day. Great experience.

On March 31, 2011, I flew into MYF for a day visit to the USS Midway in San Diego. Christie and Julie of Gibbs Flying Service quickly resolved my transportation needs to downtown San Diego. Rental cars at Gibbs Flying Service are the best option to get to downtown San Diego. They made my day. Thanks for the great service.

Landed at Montgomery field and parked at Gibbs. I had called them few days before and had requested a rental car. After landing I contacted them on their frequency as taxiing. They guided me to the parking spot. As my engine stopped my rental car was driven right up to the plane. Now we are not talking about a G5, I fly a Cessna TR182. I decided to fill up my tanks. The fuel truck was there as I was deplaning my family. Great service and nice folks. It is not often that the little guy gets the big guy treatment. They sure made us fill special. I think they are going to be the FBO of choice for San Diego area for us.

We convinced our clients to try Montgomery instead of KSAN for an afternoon meeting based on other AirNav comments and looks like we made a good pick. Fuel price is way better than KSAN, we were guided in by professional line crew and Christie in the front desk was the best. We borrowed the "crew van" for some lunch down town the Fish Market was superb. Christie opened the pilot lounge for our afternoon stay on the "plush pleather" couches and plasma TV, with just a few English channels, and one that has Jerry Springer on 24/7. If your aircraft is not too big this is the place to go, (weight limit 20, 000lbs) stop by and see this friendly place, it is so unlike most of Cali. Thanks Christi and crew!

I fly an Aztec into this airport at least once a month. We have used Gibbs for as long as we have come here. Always wonderful customer service, Christie always has a welcoming smile and attends to my passengers needs. The line service is always prompt with fueling the plane. Great FBO.

Stopped in for a few hours Jan 2, 2011. Nice facility, very friendly and informative employees who go out of their way to help. Pilot lounge and flight planning on site including wifi. Although the building is a bit old the staff more than makes up for the building. I took a short walk to the "other" FBO and it's still a very small, old run down shack with very limited pilot services. Sure, Gibbs may be an extra 30 sec taxi and the ramp is crowded (wonder why), but it's worth the effort.

I stopped in for a quick lunch at the cafe across the street. Off the main taxiway, just follow the blue line to their parking spots. Upon shutdown line service was quick to assist us. Unfortunately we didn't need fuel, but were asked to leave the parking brake off. A film crew was shooting some film in an extra that landed after us and we were in their parking spot. We were moved to the next row over (not a big deal), and no ramp fees! There are some great eats across the street, great find!

The prop had barely stopped turning when a pretty girl with a big smile pulled up to the plane in a golf cart. Christie hauled our stuff to the office and arranged ground transportation while I enjoyed free coffee in the pilot lounge.

Flew into Montgomery Field on 9-9-2010. I was met by line staff at my plane and given ride to terminal building. Told them to top my fuel tanks off and when I returned the next afternoon my fuel tanks were full, my windows were washed and there was no ramp fee. The staff was very friendly.

I fly into SD about every other month and I always use Gibbs. Whenever I need a rental car it is always waiting for me by the time I've shut down. If I'm just running somewhere to grab lunch, they usually just give me the keys to the van. Whether I'm there for personal reasons or just grabbing lunch with a student, the service has always been top notch.

I never take time out of my day to comment on FBO's but this place is worth it. The people are very nice and friendly. It has a "home airport feel" to it and I would recommend it to anybody coming through. They let us borrow the van for a few hours and we were able to enjoy the beach for a few hours at no additional cost. We will make it a mission to be back. Thank you!

I cannot speak highly enough about this FBO. There have been a couple of minor bumps, but what makes them good is how they deal with the problems that occasionally come up vs. when everything is going right. Christine, Ali and Charlie are the best. We will not use anyone else in San Diego. The King Air won't let us.

We landed at MYF on 20 Nov 09 and stayed until 1 Dec 09 and the service was great. I even flew 4 times while there and FBO service were not diminished. Gibbs has really fine Ops and line folks who seem to really like what they are doing. Great service, fine people, a superior FBO. My wife and I will be back.

Arrived in the dark. There was a bit of hassle as I wanted the Mooney tied down. The people are great. The facility needs some work. It's worn down. The ramp has potholes. Not nice to look at but a decent FBO and they seem honest, which is more than I can say about the other FBO on the field.

We flew to MYF yesterday to have lunch at Casa Machado. Lunch was a bit disappointing but it was such a pleasant afternoon in San Diego we weren't eager to leave. We walked over to Gibbs and they agreed to loan us their van for a couple hours if we topped off our tanks with them. Thanks Gibbs!

Back again and great service - just like last time. Simple, professional, quality operation. This was the last stop on a 6-leg tour and we hit lots of high-end FBO's "jet centers". They were all nice, but Gibbs has been the most reliable on consistent provider of quality service I have seen. My vote for best FBO!

Gibbs needs to do something with their restrooms. There is an odor of sewer, and it would be nice if they would provide paper toilet seat protectors for their guests.

First overnight experience. Selected Gibbs based on AirNav comments. Great service, rental car ready upon arrival and brought out planeside to help unloading. Refueled several times as we were in and out of MYF on some day trips. I will go back to Gibbs next time south.

I have been in and out of Gibbs 10 times in the last 6 months and they always are very helpful and customer oriented. Some of the line guys are pilots so they understand GA. I really appreciate their friendliness and attitude. Lowest fuel prices on the field for 100LL.
