First time at KMYF and parked for two days at Gibbs Flying Service. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The rental car was brought out to us and the line personal loaded our luggage. Nice little FBO. Would recommend on your next trip in the San Diego area.

Flew in with my kids for the Red Bull air races. The line personnel were pretty busy helping park planes but got the plane tucked in perfectly. Nothing too fancy here, just a big flight school with access to fuel, a ramp, a ready room and a restroom. Could not really as for more. I fly to San Diego several times a year and KMYF is my choice and GIBBS is the right place once you follow the green taxi line. Short walk to the Mexican restaurant on the field or try the Thai place.

Read other reviews about the local Hertz not delivering vehicles, assume things were fixed. Called Hertz location day before, they assured me car would be delivered to Gibbs before my arrival. Land and of course no car. Girl at the counter said Hertz couldn’t be counted on there. Luckily, she gave us a great rate and upgraded us for the hassle with their on site Avis. Line guys were also very helpful. Only negative would be that the facility is a bit dated. Thanks for coming through for us Gibbs, will be using you in the future.

One of my favorite FBOs. Love the service. Make sure you buy extra fuel as there is a discount. Easy in and easy out. I was there on August 19th and September 1st for business.

WORST customer service experience ever trying to reserve a rental car prior to our arrival- spoke with LAURA and because of her being so rude, we are choosing to go to another FBO instead- we will park & purchase our fuel there.... LAURA should be fired for despicable customer service!

Response from Buzz Gibbs, Owner, Gibbs Flying Service, Inc.
I do not like to get bad comments but I was able to talk with Mrs. Demski about this incident and it was justified. We did not give her the type of service that I expect from the staff and I appreciate her bringing this incident to my attention.

The staff is prompt, efficient and professional. Great experience. When we parked, the rental car (fully fueled) was driven to our airplane. Gibbs is a top notch FBO.

Gibbs is definitely the FBO to go to at Montgomery. I called ahead to reserve a spot on 4th of July weekend and I'm glad I did. It turns out all of transient parking was full and they were referring everyone over to Gibbs. I had a maintenance issue arriving and went straight over to their maintenance hangar where Wayne assured me they would have everything fixed before I left and I wouldn't have to worry about anything. I left the plane in good hands. Wayne called me 2 hours later, had everything fixed, parked the plane and tied it up. It made it really easy on my end. Upon leaving the plane was all fueled up and ready to go. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks to everyone at Gibbs for saving my trip!

All around a very pleasant experience at Gibbs for our two-day stay in San Diego with our A36. I had reserved a rental car through Hertz, with Gibbs as the pick-up and drop-off point, but the local Hertz office didn't come through. Before I even landed, the nice young lady in the office had noticed my rental car was missing and had arranged a car for me from Avis. Excellent customer focus!

Flew in a vintage T-34B last weekend. I was impressed with everything at Gibbs. This is a truly a small G.A. operation and I appreciated their service. Our lineman Michael was excellent, very personable and answered our every request. He even helped me book a hotel last minute which saved us huge money! I highly recommend Gibbs at MYF and Michael. We will be back. Thanks again!

Arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon. Line guys apologized when they weren't there to guide me in to a tie down spot, but quickly took care of things and offered to bring the rental car to the plane (not necessary). Desk staff friendly and helpful and I was in and out quickly and efficiently. Non-corporate, hometown "old school" feel to this place, and that I liked. I'd definitely come back here again.

I've used Gibbs several times as an FBO, but recently discovered a problem in the air on my way to San Diego. I called from the air and was told I could taxi directly to the maintenance hangar. Wayne Harris and his folks were great. They were already dealing with a big King Air that had come in leaking fuel. Wayne said they'd examine my Cirrus problem, which was one plug not firing. It turned out I had a bad lead, which they fixed. Wayne said that they try to accommodate travelers wherever possible "because we're travelers ourselves." I really appreciated how they helped me, especially since I was flying to Baja the next day and wanted to have a fully functioning plane. First rate and much appreciated.
