Whenever traveling east or west I make it a point to stop here. The FBO's line crew are excellent - fuel prices are typically great. If you need your plane in a hangar they can do that too. The airport is in top shape and the local folks are always a pleasure to meet. Look for the occasional BBQ going on over at the T-hangars on the weekend... Some pretty special folks there! I've stayed in town a couple times and find the hotels, restaurants and locals very nice.

The line tech was friendly and helpful and the FBO was commensurate with what you expect in rural Nebraska. On arrival, the field was overrun with crop-dusters making vague radio calls and a reckless skydive operation. Taxiing a Pilatus to the runway was like trying to taxi it through a busy mall due to the uncontained throng of spectators free-ranging on the ramp and the skydivers landing all around the ramp and taxiways. Parachutes were flapping in the breeze and no one seemed to notice the big angry turboprop trying to inch its way to the runway. To make matters worse, the crop-dusters and skydive plane were near constantly engaged in a 'good ole' boy' conversation on the radio, making it very difficult to coordinate movement in this wild-west style airport. The icing on the cake came from being cut off by the skydive plane taxiing to the runway and unknowingly getting to experience taking off and landing in formation with crop-dusters. I will be filing a litany of NASA ASRS forms.
