The upside of this airport is that it is very close to Oak Harbor and Coupeville if you are visiting friends or family that are willing to pick you up. Be careful landing, the paved area is narrower than your wingspan, in poor condition and the runway slopes toward midfield. The field is unmanned and locked down during the week. The 100LL fuel pump is a P.O.S. and simply needs to be replaced. The equipment is rusted, dated, and cracked, the flow rate is way too slow and receipts do not print. The grass (in the area where tiedowns allegedly are) is so high that it requires full power to taxi. The overgrowth makes tiedowns difficult to find. After walking a search pattern for 5 minutes I did find a single tiedown with no associated rope or chain. A $6/day tiedown fee is posted on a drop box at the pumps. My wife insisted on paying; although I feel no service was provided.

Interesting runway needs to be resurfaced, but ok. People were super nice. Not enough tie downs, need to bring your own anchor stakes. Local taxi was prompt and super helpful. Lots of shopping and eats in town. Great place to come for a weekend.

Landed here with no problems... Was a bit surprised to find it smaller than I expected. (Like landing on a 2-lane highway!) Fuel was available and tie-downs are in the grass to the North of the runway. (BYO ropes or whatever.) Use the taxiway... There's a small ditch you'll encounter if you try to go directly from the runway. Nice lounge with restrooms available. If you're departing IFR, contact Whidbey Approach (118.2) when you're ready for your clearance.

Cool little airport, very quaint and scenic. Not much around for services but there is a little terminal building with bathrooms. Thanks a bunch for carrying Mogas, you guys obviously care about aviation.

It appeared that Mogas was available today. Fuel pump and receipt machine work much better than in the past. Appreciate the reasonable fuel prices. I don't know why they can't code the door for the bathroom use? Response from Sheryl VanSlyke, Admin, AJ Eisenberg airport Current code for the restroom (old Kenmore Air lobby) is 1140. Please help us keep it clean! Thanks!

Zero services (not even a porta-potty) and the narrow runway is in marginal shape, but 100LL costs about a dollar per gallon less than at other airports in the region. Despite the sticker on the credit card machine it apparently does not take American Express.

This airport will very soon have autofuel.
