I diverted here due to weather on a long ferry flight and am glad I did! I arrived at 9:30 p.M., followed the signs to the 24-hour restrooms and courtesy phone, and called the after hours number posted. The phone was answered by the police dept (VERY FRIENDLY) who said she would get a hold of the airport manager. A short 10 minutes later and the airport manager showed up and gave me one of the courtesy cars (old police cars) to use into town. Airport had a rate with a local (very nice) motel, and I couldn't have been happier waiting out the foggy morning there. VERY nice folks and nice facilities. The airport is run by the City and most of the other "city managed" airports I have been to don't even come close. They should all take notes from this airport!

I can't say enough good things about the people here. It's a jewel of a little airport with a nice, revamped runway and taxiway and nice facilities. 24 hour gas pump, snack and flight planning room and nice restrooms and the latter are available 24 hours a day. The airport manager met me at the pump and then went above and beyond when I accidentally left my billfold in the snack room and flew it down to Houston, saving me a two and a half hour flight. Absolutely first rate!

I have flown in here 2 times and both times I have been greeted planeside and asked if I needed anything for my passengers or me. These guys here are great! Professional, quick, courteous and understanding. I will definitely be returning should I need great, efficient service again!

Stopped here for overnight on our way to Sun-N-Fun. Nice, well maintained airport. Very friendly and helpful staff. Let us keep one of the crew cars over night. And pointed us in the direction of a good BBQ for dinner. Decent fuel price also. Will definitely stop here again.

BEWARE FELLOW PILOTS. I have to report a negative experience about the service at this airport. I flight planned a trip to attend a wedding accompanied by my wife and my three young children. I reserved a car with Enterprise via my credit card, which they delivered to the airport (Thank you Enterprise!) After landing my Beech Baron and checking into the FBO, they informed me that another person had just landed in a King Air and took my car. They had no information on the person that took the car. Being that the contract had my name, personal info, and secured by my credit card, the FBO agent could not tell me why he allowed this "other person" to take the car. I called the police and filed a report that someone has taken a rent car that has been registered to me. Luckily, the pilots of the King Air called their "boss" who later returned the car before the police arrived. I am thinking I should buy a bigger plane to get the better service. Oh, and yes the building was nice.

Couldn't have been better. Called ahead to make arrangements and they left me keys to one of their crew cars (old cop cars), gave me directions to the hotel, and even gave me a personal cell phone number in case I had any problems. The next morning they let me keep the car as long as I wanted and pumped fuel off the truck for the same price as the SS. Great little airport run by a couple great guys.

Stopped by on the way from Wisconsin to South Texas and again on the way back. They were "Johnny on the spot" to refuel us and let us use one of their courtesy cars for the night. Highly recommend staying at Candlewood Suites just down the road from the airport. They even gave us a $10 discount on our rooms. Thanks guys!

What a great airport -- clean, well-arranged, incredibly nice folks. We used one of their courtesy cars to go into town for some delicious BBQ. Can't think of any way it could be improved.

Was on way to Mesquite TX and had to divert for poor vis weather. Beautiful 6000 ft runway in immaculate shape. Was met at the line and tied down, fueled and stayed 3 days on ramp. Butch drove me to car rental, and I was allowed to drop off the rental car at the airport upon return. Absolutely lives up to its name, Great bunch of guys and most helpful Thanks all. Highly recommended.

My wife and I flew in for a wedding (6/30/2010). Butch met us at the plane and was so helpful! He found us a convenient and nice motel room at a great price! The courtesy car was clean and appreciated. The plane was fueled and ready to go the next day! Still the great service that earned the Airport of the Year several years earlier. A MUST fuel stop!. Thanks Butch!

While flying from Hattiesburg, MS to Lawton, OK, I had to make an unscheduled stop at OSA due to weather. I couldn't have found a better spot!!! Paul went out of his way to make us feel at home. Top-notch facility and great staff!

There is a reason they were the best airport in Texas in 2005. The friendly service was fantastic. The lineman met us at the fuel pump and we had no problems topping off the tanks. The lounge area is great. Very nice facility. Would stop again.

This is a great airport. In fact, this is probably my favorite airport to fly into. I've gone here quite a bit in the past few weeks for a customer. The airport manager is ALWAYS nice, ALWAYS helpful. Yesterday 7/8/09, we had to wait out a storm (getting ready to take off, actually). Paul helped us hangar the airplane and gave us access to the car and terminal even though it was after hours. I can't say enough good things about the airport or management. A+ all the way.

Made a fuel stop on a recent trip from GA to Las Vegas. All of the great reviews are accurate. Plan to stop at this airport if you are passing by this area on any trip!! Simply put - great facility, great fuel prices, and great people!
