Stopped for gas for my E55 Baron on the way to FL from WI after Christmas. Called ahead to verify all ok and talked to Bill. When he saw us land, he ran over in his truck to check all was good with the self serve equipment. No problems and great price. Meanwhile the girls all stopped in the facilities. Perfect set up for a fuel stop enroute to FL. Dodge Atlanta ATC by filing to Lagrange and then to Harris County. (From the NW). I'm sure I will stop there again.

Nice Airport. Arrived for Angel Flight Pickup. The airport office is closed Tuesday/Wednesday. However you can get fuel and access the admin building. Fuel was self serve so no problems there. There was no computer available for updating WX but still all in all no real problems.

Stopped for fuel as my planned stop was weathered in. No one there, but office open. Used bathroom, fuel new self serve pump, super price, cheapest on trip. Stopped again on way back from Oshkosh. No complaints, but no one there either time. Sunday and later Friday afternoon.

The facilities are very nice and the people are friendly. I was surprised though when asked if I was going to buy fuel. I did not require any fuel and was then told that my visit of three hours would be $20.00. I didn't use the courtesy car, just the restroom and their tie down ropes. Gulf Shores doesn't even charge this much! However, it's a small airport..... I paid my parking fee and left.

Awesome experience- nice clean facility, great people, and best fuel prices on 100LL I've seen in the SE United States!

Arrived 10-5. Fuel pump didn't work. Called the number listed in the office. Someone was there in 10 mins - extremely helpful and courteous. Fixed the problem and even pumped the fuel. Will be back. Nice facility and great people.

Fuel pump wouldn't work and everyone was too busy to help. Lucky we had enough fuel to continue to an alternate.

Went to PIM (Harris Cty) airport with low expectations due to information that it would cost $25 round trip to utilize CG's transportation for dining.... We were greeted by Ben Baker, who informed us of the delightfully low avfuel prices... And that we were able to utilize the courtesy car (free of charge) to get something to eat. Ben supplied us with great local information and went out of his way to provide great customer service! We will definitely go back! (My wife said that she would fly more often if all her experiences were that good!)

Just FYI folks- the charge for the round trip to Callaway, it is 25.00 round trip for UP TO 5 people. Also- Harris County / Pine Mountain Airport now has a Certified F.A.A. Authorized Aircraft Inspector and Certified Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic. Reach Ben at 706-392-9011. Ben will travel a 50-mile radius to bring the service to you.

Flew in yesterday and was greeted by a sign saying FBO unattended Tues/Wed. Fuel is self-serve, but the building and courtesy car were locked up tight. We decided to walk to Callaway Gardens. It took us around 1 1/2 hours to walk from the airport to the Discovery Center. Runway is in great condition, taxiways are horrible.

Called KPIM about transportation to/from Callaway Gardens for the ASO concert at the beach on 4/23. KPIM directed me to CG who stated $25 per person for the 8 mile round trip. Since we were three, didn't see paying $75. I'm not sure how CG came up with this fee, seems way out of proportion to the service delivered.

Flew in Saturday to stay @ Mtn Inn @ CG. KPIM is small, nice, great fuel price. Taxi to self serve, & staff may pump, if avail. Fuel trucks parked, not in operation. In the past, CG offered free pu, in last few wks, they charge $25 for an rd trip. We pushed back against charge (park/hotel are very close) @ all past info we saw said complimentary pu. Charge waived this time, not certain about future. CG was very nice. We were able to bike, boat, hike, &tennis & golf available. Plant Room Rest. In hotel has nice buffet for bkfast & dinner, also there are sandwich shops in park. Hotel will transport you. But may have to wait. Bikes were fun, can only be obtained & returned in the park. It would be great if the hotel kept some for pilots to get around. Flying in fr South, there's a ridge that you drop over before landing that can have some turbulence. Runway is newly paved, & has an up & down slope. Hotel has a great pool & showers had great pressure.

KPIM is currently open 9-5 Thursday thru Monday. Self-serve fuel is available 24/7. Transportation is available to Callaway Gardens. 5000' lighted runway resurfaced last year.

From Dannie Kemp on 26-Mar-2010

I wanted to add that the fuel is very fairly priced. This is self-serve with a POS. You can pump anytime. Looking at some of the other comments that may not be clear.

PIM is a diamond in the ruff. 24X7 access. RW lights and beacon are serviceable. Attendant on duty Thursday through Monday. 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Good facilities, courtesy transport available through Mountain Inn/Callaway Gardens. Standing hangers available @ $165 per Month.

From Roy Kinsey on 23-Mar-2010

I have a trip tomorrow (Wednesday) to a private strip south of Atlanta. After reading the comments, I called Harris County airport to verify they would be open for fueling. The recorded message on their phone says they operate Sunday - Monday, which I assume means they are not open Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They may have a good fuel price, but their hours of operation are "unusual" and I'm glad I checked before stopping.
