Awesome new FBO. I am a private pilot working on my instrument/commercial at UND Aerospace. I picked to come here for a cross country. And it was a great choice! Service was great too!

I fly into PIR pretty often it seems... Always a good experience

Pleasant little fuel stop on the way east to Minneapolis after a last-minute northern re-route for weather. These guys have a great new FBO building with a beautiful pilot lounge. They even fed us "Grand Opening Cake" from the celebratory opening this week of their new facility. Friendly folks, adequate courtesy car, and great facilities... Didn't matter that all we were flying was a dinky turbo 182 - we felt welcomed like we were in a Gulfstream.

Landed and we were met by lineman, forgot his name...Very friendly and helpful. Got Fueled up, tied down, and a taxi to a motel..... Only complaint was along wait for taxi (mini-bus). And on return to airport long wait for taxi again. Got smart and paid hotel bellboy to drive us back to airfield in his personal car for $20. New Terminal fuel is a bit high.

I arrived after one of those days where nothing goes right. I was met on the ramp in gusty winds and icy conditions. Ramper had the new battery in hand. I ended up parking my Stinson 108 in a heated hangar that was actually heated! Folks there set me up with a room and transportation. Good place to end up for this cold weather amateur.

From Bart Crowder on 03-Nov-2010

Stopped for fuel on a CC flight, facilities were adequate, but they charged a $50 uplift charge for 65 gallons of jet fuel which was over priced to begin with, When ask they replied they charge a uplift fee for jet less the 100 gallons, When I ask if they charged a fee to pump Avgas they said no. They might a well hung a sign sayin we don't want or need your business. Message received I will pick a different fuel stop next trip.

Response from Clint Peitz Operations Manager Capital City Air Carrier Inc.
As Operations Manager at Capital City Air I would like to address Mr. Crowder's comments. The fee he is referring to is only implemented with his fuel discount card (and with that card we do require a 100 gallon minimum). Our retail fuel price on that day averaged .50 cents less than our comparable SD competition. We are certainly sorry to read the comment left by Mr. Crowder. We share these comments with our employees and everyone here strives to give the best customer service. Please stop in and meet our great staff. Our new facility is well under way, and should be open soon!

Stopped for fuel and lunch between Minneapolis and Billings. Nothing fancy, but pleasant and efficient fueling and service. Loaner car provided without effort for a run into town for a bite to eat.

Excellent Service. Phil greeted us and quickly had us fueled and ready to go. Clean terminal area and restrooms. Adequate vending machines and fresh coffee. Loaner car for a run to town for food or supplies. Easy in and out, friendly and helpful line staff.

Overall a positive experience. Fuel and hangar were a little on the high side $50 for hangaring a single engine Cessna but with the severe thunderstorms who's going to argue about a few bucks. The folks at the AmericInn shuttled us back and forth and had a very nice, clean and quiet facility on the Missouri. FYI if touring Rushmore call Ellsworth approach for vectors, they are very helpful.

A very nice FBO with a great, sincere staff. Pierre is a sweet town.

From Paul Bennett on 24-Jun-2009

Made an unscheduled stop here June 23 to wait out a line of thunderstorms south of Pierre. Great FBO, great service, nice folks. The wireless Internet was nice. Borrowed their courtesy car to go into town for lunch.
