We flew a Saratoga from SPG to PMP and were treated very well by Sheltair, paying no ramp fee with a 20 gallon fuel purchase. This is a great little airport in a convenient location. I will use PMP as an alternative to FXE in the future. 15/33 was just renovated and it seems most of the taxiways were repaved as well. And repaved taxiways mean no stone chips in my prop!Response from Daniel Pooler, General Manager Sheltair PMP Mr. Smith, I'm so pleased the airport was able to put in a brand new runway at PMP. They increased the take off distance to 4,918'. We look forward to your future visits with us at Pompano.

The staff of Sheltair Pompano is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and a pleasure to be around. From my own experience I can say that this is the hardest working FBO crew of any airport.Response from Daniel Pooler, General Manager Sheltair PMP Chas, Thank you for those kind words! Anything you need just let us know!

I've been in to Sheltair several times and Judy has always been great. She recently outdid herself when I left a prized nylon Marine Corps flight jacket from my Vietnam days in the trunk of a rental car. I didn't miss it until I got home several days later. Judy got with the mgr of Hertz, tracked the car down, found the person currently renting it, located my jacket, and mailed it back to me. I had considered the jacket gone forever and was just sick at heart as it had golden memories and nostalgia attached, along with all my squadron patches. It was a one-of-a-kind that could never be replaced today. On top of all that, she REFUSED to let me reimburse her for the overnight postage! THANK YOU, JUDY!!! .... Needless to say, if I could, I'd rate Sheltair (and JUDY) as a ten-star experience!Response from Daniel Pooler, General Manager Sheltair PMP Mr. Prouse, I'm so pleased to hear Judy was able to track down your one of a kind jacket. She also refused to let me reimburse her for the postage. She simply wanted to pay it forward. We look forward to seeing you again at PMP.

First time into Pompano. Terrific stop, even the tower was friendly and helpful. Service was outstanding, and the staff at Sheltair was friendly and very helpful. The facilities were impressive. The counter person (Judy?) was great, lots of advice and suggestions. Bathrooms (most important after a flight) were clean and inviting. A courtesy car was available but we had someone coming after us. Upon our return 5 hours later, we found a nice Pilot's lounge with planning computers. We were not charged for our stay even though we did not buy fuel. I had a question about who to contact for Flight Following upon departure because we were in the middle of Miami Center and Palm Beach Approach Control. I was encouraged to call the Tower phone directly. The controller was friendly and offered to take care of that for us. He then gave taxiing information over the phone because of all the construction going on currently on the ground. First time I've actually enjoyed talking to the Tower!Response from Daniel Pooler, General Manager, Sheltair PMP Mr. Blondin I'm so pleased you had a great experience with us at Sheltair PMP. It's not very often you get taxi instructions over the phone! Thank you for posting this on AirNav and we look forward to your next visit with us.

After considerable online research and calling all the other airports and FBOs within 60 miles (from northern Miami to south Palm Beach), I opted for Pompano Beach Airpark -- and SheltAir in particular -- to base my Columbia during a weeklong family vacation in south Florida. A fantastic experience from start to finish. We arrived near closing time on a Friday night, but Judy and the line staff took great care of us. We were marshaled to a temporary parking spot 15' from the front door, where the line staff helped transfer our bags to the waiting rental car. With weather approaching, and without being asked, the line crew immediately towed the plane to the T-hangar we had arranged to rent. I observed the whole operation, and the line supervisor and lineman treated the plane like it was theirs. It's obvious these guys take great pride in their work. Same exceedingly professional service on the way out. First class customer service from beginning to end. Will be back!Response from Daniel Pooler, General Manager, Sheltair PMP Mr. Clare, we try to treat every customer with the same level of service. Thank you for taking the time to post this. I'm so pleased to hear your experience with us was such a good one and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.
