I did some pilot training out of Aviation Station's facilities and appreciated the cleanliness and friendly staff.

I use this FBO all the time. Friendly staff, good prices on fuel. They seem to be short-staffed (leaned for best endurance?) as there are some times when no one is to be found in the FBO - the only guy working is driving the fuel truck. You can call them on 122.8 though and they usually answer.

Left C172 overnight on ramp at Aviation Station 6/24/06 to 6/25/06. This is a nice, clean, modern facility with friendly people. Other comments regarding limited ramp space and relatively out-of-the-way location are right on. I tried e-mailing for information a week before my trip, but got no response and had to call. Ramp fee of $25 is waived if you purchase fuel, but fuel is cheapest I've seen in the Midwest. Do get the gate code before you leave the facility. Also, make sure you keep their phone number with you. I went in to pay my fuel bill and start my pre-flight only to find that nobody was in the office. The one and only staff person at the time was out in the fuel truck, so I had to call to get him back to the office. Otherwise, a very fine experience... Especially if you don't want to go to one of those big places that don't give you the time of day if you don't have a jet.

Visited Aviation Station during brief business layover. Service was superb-they put my plane in a hanger at no charge to avoid the sun beating on it. Fuel was unbelievably low - Definitely recommend it if you land at PTK.

Arrived on a Sunday to find no one home. It took over an hour to find someone to fuel the plane. When they finally got there, the folks running Aviation Station where quite friendly and helpful. Be aware that the place is very hard to find and ramp space is very limited. My TBM 700 just barely fit without blocking the taxiway. If you are clearing customs at this airport, watch out, you will get a bill for $55 for use of the customs facility. In spite of the charge (or because of it?) the customs agent was extremely friendly and quick.

Ramp space is limited. The service was excellent as well as the fuel price. On 8/17/05 it was guaranteed at $3.15, however I paid $2.99. I was there on company business, they had the rental ready and waiting at my arrival. Returned to find that Aviation Station had moved my Saratoga to a shady spot inside one of their hangers FOR FREE!!

I parked my plane at Aviation Station for 2 weeks. There's limited hangar space for transient aircraft, and no tie downs. Fuel prices were reasonable for this area and Brian, the Manager, was very professional. He even loaned me an extra headset to take on a local flight. Overall, a nice FBO, just make sure you get the gate code before leaving or you won't be able to get back in.
