Outstanding service at AFS. Every time I visit, I am greeted with a smile. I will visit time & time again.

Thank you, American Flight Services! We flew two planes into RDG last night for dinner at Malibooz and were dismayed to find heavy frost on our wings when we returned to the ramp. Attempts to clean it off were futile because it redeposit as fast as we could clean it off. We begged the tower to find us an open hangar, and the folks at AFS were more than accommodating. They squeezed us one at a time into a corner of one of their hangars and provided lots of rags, elbow grease, and encouragement - all at no charge. Thanks so much for coming to our rescue!

Flew into RDG today to visit the MAAM, to show our pilot, who is from MI, what a treasure exists at RDG. When we taxiied in, there was not one soul around to suggest where to park, so we picked a spot, and went to MAAM. On our return, as we began to preflight and board the plane, two characters from American Flight Service came out, one of whom informed our guest that there would be a $10 parking fee, or he could buy fuel. We had just topped off in Cumberland (cheaper too!) I say this is entrapment, and left a sour taste in my mouth. This fellow was going on about "oh, we are going to excuse the parking fee THIS time, but not again". They should have come out to tell us not to park there when we arrived. Not very nice.

I have been flying from AFS for over a year, the staff is great, and the new owners are top notch, Chip and Adam are excellent instructors. I was there when the management change took effect. It was rough for a bit, but kudos to the new owners for squaring that away in short order. If there were one thing I would love to see, it would be on line scheduling for rentals and lessons.

Several of us flew in 11/11 to check out the new restaurant across the field. AFS had the best fuel prices so we checked them out. The service and facility is without a doubt the best I've ever been to. The previous two users should reconsider.

This FBO changed management in early October. The new management is not nearly as friendly as the former.

After inquiring about the ten dollar ramp fee while going to visit the adjacent museum, I was shocked to hear the manager say, among other things, "Tell all your small airplane buddies to stay away, we don't want them here". Via this web site, I am merely passing along this FBO's sentiments. A very sad attitude for transient light GA aircraft.
