I have landed here for fuel, a pit stop, and overnight stop several times when traveling through East Texas. This is a great airport. Normally, they have a courtesy car to go into town (10 minutes)

Always about the best fuel price in the country. Aside from that it's a great cross-country stop. Restaurants and hotels 5-10 minutes from the airport, and you can make use of the well-maintained courtesy car. Open tie downs very close to the fuel pump, so you just push back without restarting. The terminal building is clean and comfortable, and is accessible from the ramp side after hours. Ron the manager and local pilots are all amazingly friendly. The Baymont hotel has a pilot's rate of $75 currently. One of my favorites.
