We stopped in twice in 9/09 in our Citation III. Service was prompt and facilities were entirely adequate for a rural airport. Fuel prices were reasonable and the restrooms and lobby were clean. However, you have to remember that Saratoga is a rural Wyoming town of 1700 people and you aren't going to get a Signature Flight Support. Bring cookies for Josie, the (Pug) airport dog.

I called these folks this morning to get current fuel prices. They weren't particularly friendly. Having never been there in person, I can't say for certain, but I suspect that the previous comments about this airfield have validity.

A very positive experience flying our Saratoga into Saratoga. Bob's friendly voice gave us a wind check on final, and then he came out in his SUV and led us to a large hangar for the night, helping to push the plane through the snow and into the hangar. When we were unable to reach the Saratoga Inn by phone Bob drove us there and refused any tips at all. The next day he was there to help pull the plane out and get us on our way. Thanks, Bob!

After reading the comments, I guess I would rather pay a little more for fuel and have friendly folks to deal with. That's a shame. I was going to put on 400 gals of Jet A.

I was in the area on a family trip and I figured I would drop by the airport to look around because the next time we came to Saratoga we will fly in. I was curious about the windshear comments that I read in the AOPA airport directory so I figured I would ask a local pilot if there were any tricks to look for. Unfortunately when I went in to talk to the guy at the FBO he was very unfriendly. In fact he would not even look up from the TV. Normally "airport folk" are more than happy to sit and talk to other pilots about the local flying conditions. With this guys I felt like I was just annoying him.

What a horrible experience!! I don't like to badmouth, but in all of my travels, worldwide, I have NEVER experienced such a negative attitude from practically EVERY single person. This started with a phone call with Kim, the mgr/owner of the FBO, who stated "no crew car & no services". The negativity continued with the linesman who fueled my plane. Could he say hello or even assist me in tying down any of the ropes?? Of course not. The bathrooms (both male and female) were disgustingly dirty with dried feces on the floor - this did not occur during the last 48 hours-it was hard and crusty. The FBO was dirty with coffee cups stacked in the sink and on the dusty countertops not to mention the stains (food and??) on the floor and seats. It's amazing that my fuel wasn't tainted. My recommendation is to bypass this stop, and go to Rawlins, Laramie or Cheyenne.

Midfield windsock missing as of 6/14/07. Use appropriate caution.

Couldn't take fuel due to pax load, $175.00 facility fee for CJ1 + 200 gal min fuel purchase to waive. No power cart use, no facility use, just the fee.
