Trained with Skymachines for mountain flying instruction. Service by SAF FBO was great. Ferried us to the plane each day and provided tie down service for a nominal fee.

From Mike Dwyer on 07-Oct-2009
Went to Sierra Aviation and rented a C172 for some mountain training and sight seeing. Great instructors, very nice folks. Pretty high elevations for a Florida boy!

It's a September Sunday morning. I am a GA pilot from Maine visiting friends in Santa Fe, and with my host's computer out of service, where will I go to print out the boarding passes for the next day's two-leg flight home ABQ ->BWI -> MHT on Southwest Airlines? Answer: I stopped by the Santa Fe airport. The courteous lady at the counter of Santa Fe AirCenter pointed me to the pilot's lounge, where computer and printer were available. Need a friend? Go to your local General Aviation airport! Hmm... I wonder if they need a part-time flight instructor at KSAF. Long commute from Bangor, Maine, but I'd manage... Thanks for making a visitor feel at home in the Land of Enchantment!

Even though it's now the only FBO at SAF, Santa Fe Air Center doesn't act like it. I bought fuel at it's self-serve facility, but was given full service when I taxied to the ramp. My large amount of luggage was handled promptly by the ramp crew and I was given a free night's parking.

From Dr. Richard G. Allen on 29-Aug-2009
Came in for the opera and could not have had a better experience at SAC. Prompt and courteous service, and we were treated as well as anyone else. Todd was especially helpful and friendly and even offered a generous discount on the truck fuel when asked. We will always go back to Santa Fe.

From Ian Cairns on 15-Aug-2009
Good FBO. Arranged hotel for us and when shuttle was busy had the hotel send a taxi at the hotels expense. Their point, 'we send them a lot of business'. Saved me $20. A bit of a walk to the end of the tie down line if they park you down there. They will give you a lift in the van though, if you want. I enjoyed the stroll. Friendly folks.

Very good service both on the ramp and in the office. Offered to hangar plane in event of bad weather but assured me damage was very rare. Gave me better price than pump since such a large difference between. FS and SS prices, so it made sense for me to use the truck. Rental car ready and waiting and even got me a better deal with their Hertz account than I had with my Enterprise corporate account. I will definitely come back.

From E Allan on 09-Jul-2009
Stopped for low price fuel but self-serve had just gone down. The fuel truck personnel honored SS price w/o me even asking, gave a lift to the FBO, and helped get back through the security fence/gate to plane. Great customer service! I'll be back...

From H.P. Schuele on 25-May-2009
Visited Santa Fe over Memorial Day weekend. Rental car arrangements were made through Santa Fe Air Center. We were marshaled right into a parking spot and the car was next to the airplane before we even had a chance to deplane. We experienced professional, courteous and efficient service. As in the past, Santa Fe Air Center service and personnel was first class. We will be back in our Turbo Arrow.

Departed SAF last Friday afternoon. About ten minutes into flight, the Lance's electrical system, avionics, lighting, etc. When out. Used handheld radio to contact approach and tower. Used emergency gear extension. Landing went fine. SAF Tower, Santa Fe Air Center, and Santa Fe Aero Services were great. We had purchased self-service fuel, but the Air Center treated us royally. Art at Aero Services ordered and installed a new battery relay within 24 hours on a weekend. A very positive experience overall.

Santa Fe Air Center/Capitol City - both owned by same firm. Single Engine Fee is $15 or 15 gals and they will count SS. Includes use of 'facilities' and crew car.

From David Miller on 09-May-2009
Nice FBO and pleasant airport to fly into with friendly controller. Would recommend using self-serve which is located away from FBO but easy to use. Self-serve is $1.00 cheaper per gallon than fuel truck. Don't know why FBO is so much more expensive, unless they want to just focus on the jets.

From Keegan Leahy on 17-Mar-2009
Great airport to get into, a bit far from town. Defiantly use SS Avgas and save a buck/gal! Travel here often in variety of airframes! 8/10

From Jason Tuggle on 25-Feb-2009
Had a layover due to weather. Helped get us a car and hotel. The heated hangar was as much as the hotel room at $80/night, but when your stuck there’s not much choice. Other than the high hangar price, everything was good. Very nice FBO inside. I enjoyed sitting by the real fire.

From Gordon Feingold on 14-Dec-2008
The line and office staff at the Air Center is friendly and efficient. They tucked my SR22 into a heated hangar for the night and pulled it out front and center for my departure with no hassle and nary a scratch. Great FBO.

From Steve Bruno on 24-Nov-2008
We've stopped at SFAC several times and have always had a great experience. We are met on the ramp with a rental car and friendly and helpful line staff. Excellent facilities, conveniently located. We highly recommend Santa Fe Air Center and will certainly be back!

From Carl Marbach on 14-Sep-2008
It's true, a huge ($180) facility fee or buy 120 gallons of $6.50/gal ($1.50/gal too much- they get their $180 either way) gas for my Turbo Commander. Didn't used to be this way in the other times I've been there. Outrageous. To make matter worse, when I asked for a GPU I was told that would be $45 more! Huge fee and no service? When I complained, the manager waived the GPU fee. He seemed embarrassed by the huge fee. FBOs, especially this one, are NOT helping aviation at all.

From Peter Hochla on 09-Sep-2008
Called to ask about stopping there to pick up a passenger. Told I either had to purchase 180 gallons of fuel or pay facility fee of $240! Don't know if that's true but I don't plan to stop there and find out.

From Marc Coan on 01-Jul-2008
A reminder: While the airport is tower-controlled, it has no local radar coverage. And center can't see you when you get much below 10, 000 or so...So HEADS UP: see and be seen. (Very advisable to throw on all the lights when you get below 8000.) In addition, be advised that the tower rarely uses the ground control frequency; ATIS will advise you to contact the tower on tower frequency for ground operations. SAF is basically a mountain airport. Small planes should plan arrivals and departures before 11am or near sunset in the spring and early summer to avoid winds that can really howl.

Very nice facility. Line guys were a little slow getting to my plane for fill up, but they were very nice and personable! I would use them again!

From Mark Dymond on 07-Jan-2008
Stopped in @0300 on Dec 26. Tried SS pump with 4 different credit cards, no joy. We slept in the plane until 0630 or so. It was cold (13f). The FBO apologized, and said the card reader has probs when that cold. They honored the SS price with truck fuel.

From Dinjer Shefki on 17-Nov-2007
Nice Airport, nice FBO, friendly people at the desk, booked us hotel at discount, Hertz car ready when we arrived. Computer available for pilots flight planning etc. Would use again happily.

From Willie Martin on 09-Oct-2007
Best FBO I have seen in my flying experience. Best line crew I've been around also, especially at night. Back in January, Santa Fe had 3 feet of snow on the ground. In regards to not towing a Mooney in 3 feet of snow with an inch of ice underneath, I do not blame them. If you've no experience in towing, the ice will guide the airplane all over and it could easily cause the airplane, not the tug or tower, to exceed it's turn limits and bend up the suspension truss. Best FBO in the Southwest!

From Christopher Dean on 08-Sep-2007
Linda and Todd at the desk were extremely helpful in arranging transportation for our passengers. Additionally, the Line Crew was very professional and helpful during our 6-hour stay. The previous positive comments are no fluke -- this is a quality operation!

From Thomas Ronay on 27-Aug-2007
A great visit at the end of July. The line crew and desk staff was very helpful in arranging a car and hotel in short order. They even put us in a hangar when a storm rolled in! Thanks for the great service!

From Lawrence Calder on 01-Aug-2007
Air/Jet Center FBO seems to be more GA friendly, though the same company now owns both FBOs on the field. The price of fuel is slightly cheaper here. Although I expected to be charged one night parking, Leslie in the office waived both nights with the purchase of fuel, even though I did self-serve for the $.50 savings. However, due to the hassle of getting to the self-serve station, on this busy field, I would not do self-serve here again. It doesn't pay for the loss of time. Staff in office and linesman was very helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Would return.

From Nat Litter on 06-Jul-2007
Great experience. Had to base out of KSAF for three weeks while on business. Very professional, but very busy. I was impressed with the service received with the amount of traffic (esp. biz jets) in and out. During those three weeks, I made at least a dozen flights. Every morning I arrived, I found the plane fueled and oxygen serviced. Best prices around. Will be back in the fall.

From David Taylor on 28-Jun-2007
Always enjoy stopping at SFAC, very courteous and accommodating staff. Todd helped us a bunch; thanks folks. Comfortable FBO.

From David Miller on 09-Jun-2007
Stopped overnight on way back to Denver from LA. Staff helpful and honest-they let me know that the self serve was less expensive without having to ask if there was a self serve. Staff stated they were trying to be more accomodating since others in past were put off by FBO not mentioning an option of self serve. They were very helpful with car rental and hotel as well. Nice facility and lineman greeted us to tiedown.

5/17/07. My second fuel stop during my KMQJ to KHND trip. This is a nice airport and Santa Fe Air center is a very courteous FBO. They lead you to a tie-down; quickly refuel the aircrafts, and nice facilities. Not the lowest cost Avgas, but they are very busy. Did not have a chance to stop in at the main terminal and visit the restaurant, but Center has basic stuff - Coffee, vending machines, etc. Not bad, not great.

From Ken Maples on 23-Jan-2007
Stopped in for the night and they were very nice. They got us a very good hotel discount in town. Cold overnight so we had them put the plane in the heated (50 degrees F) hangar for $72. The FBO office is nicely appointed and has a weather computer and a separate internet connected computer. Nice place, reasonable service.

From Chris Schmelzer on 05-Jan-2007
Very unimpressed with their GA service. On my arrival watched a gentleman with a Mooney who called for deicing earlier in the day and was told no problem arrive to be told by line service "Tough luck, we didn't get to it--go brush it off yourself" He was also told they couldn't hangar it because his Mooney had a 'weak nose wheel' (rather than just knowing the turning limits). I waited over an hour for a ground power start, only to have the cable they had not work correctly and have it blamed on me (we later proved this by connecting directly to the battery). Most unimpressive. They appeared to service the kerosene burners no problem however.

From Brian Rogers on 11-Dec-2006
I picked up 2 employees at the Air Center on 12/09. The self-serve pump worked beautifully, and was $3.35/gal. The line staff and manager Tony went above and beyond in my opinion to accommodate us. We needed to park our equipment show truck some place until our return on 12/11. This truck is nothing short of a tractor-trailer. We were allowed to park inside the airport fence in a secure area, and it could not have been nicer or smoother for us. We will be back again.

Landed SAF around 0630 on Nov. 18 and taxied to the SS, due to the price posted on AirNav. It was inop but no signs to that effect. Taxied over to the FBO and they gave me truck fuel but honored the SS price. Said they were waiting for a part to fix the SS pump. A week later, on my return flight, again stopped at SAF SS still inop. Went to the FBO and got topped via truck. Girl at desk said they were still waiting on the component to repair the SS pump, but she would NOT honor the SS price. She did allow a .25 discount, so the fuel was $3.67. Better than $3.92, but a lot more than the $3.39 that was listed on AirNav. I sent a note to the Mgr of the FBO over a week ago, but so far, no reply. I see where the SS is no longer listed. Maybe they plan to decommission it. The FBO is quite nice, comfortable lounge, a sleep room, nice fireplace for those cold days; coffee, hot chocolate and vending are avail.
