Flew in for Sat morn breakfast; this is the weirdest breakfast menu I've ever seen. They do not have omelets on the menu??? The waitress was nice enough to ask the chef to make me one anyway. When it came, it was naked. No toast, no grits, no nuttin, just an omelets. ??? Also, they do have eggs benedict, but only on Sunday, not Saturday, or Thursday, only Sunday; why I don't know. What was served was just fine.

Runway Cafe is now Peppercorns (of Lake Placid) what an amazing menu. This is not your typical on-field restaurant. Any menu that features Havarti cheese, roasted red peppers, broccoli and cheddar soup and homemade Greek salad dressing deserves special attention. The food is Excellent. The service is top notch. The prices are competitive with Denny's. Many on-field establishments know that they have a captive audience, and can get away with serving whatever and whenever they want. Not here. Please give this place a try. FYI: 1 Chicken salad sandwich with havarti cheese on thick rye 1 havarti cheese, roasted red peppers onions on pump 1 Greek salad 1 broccoli and cheddar soup 2 Ice teas 27 bucks. Note: As of this writing, they are only open for breakfast and lunch. The owner is considering a dinner night, but that’s not immediate. Joe S. - N6637D

Food is still good--popular with the locals. Their hours have changed. They're open only till 1430 weekdays and 1900 on Fridays.

Sunday buffet was very good. Buffet and a BIG glass of refreshing Florida orange juice was $9.63. They know how to do bacon here, too. Only one caveat--watch out for table #1. It has a bit of a wobble to it. I almost lost that glass of juice.

Good food, I like to sit outside on the porch overlooking the runway. Well worth the trip and a great place to stop if you are hungry flying around south central FL.
