KSEZ is about as perfect a GA airport as there is. The setting is beautiful and right in town. Red Rock Aviation provides friendly and efficient service, as does the on-site car rental agency. The on-field restaurant isn't bad, either. Only problems: density altitude can get up there, with high terrain in most directions. Also, very "iffy" in bad weather, as the only IAP, a GPS approach has a 1400-foot MDA. Fortunately, the weather is usually good. All in all, a great fly-in destination.

Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for 2 nights and were happy with the service at Red Rock. On a side note - The Sky Ranch motel is a very affordable place to stay (don't bother to spend the extra $$$ for a view room though). It is an $80 a night motel with mediocre rooms. The price is right for what it is but don't expect it to compete with the fancy places.

Stopped in for two nights. Tie-down was reasonable and easy. They had the plane topped off when we got back. Very friendly and easy to deal with.

Dramatic, wonderful place to visit. Folks at the FBO are friendly and helpful. Costs are low and services are limited; this is a country airport. Don't miss this stop. The approach takes care since airport is on a mesa with higher mountains near by.

Very quick and friendly turn around. They were done before we'd filed our next flight plan.

One of the most scenic and beautiful airports in the US. Line service was excellent (friendly and professional), Jet-A was reasonable, and the restaurant on the field was great after a long flight.

Red Rock is great! They stayed late (with an after hours fee of course) to help us secure the aircraft for the overnight. Good friendly people. Wish they had a GPU.

Red Rock is a great FBO service. Fast, helpful, reliable.

What a beautiful airport! Landing up hill and taking off down hill is interesting also. Got good service from the folks at Red Rock.

Wow what a pretty place in this country. Service is good facilities are outstanding. If I ever have to wait out weather traveling from AZ to NM this is the place to do it. Perfect Airport!

Awesome airport and FBO...The line guys fueled me the instant I landed and handled the transaction right there on the field...Stayed at the Sky Ranch which was very friendly and ate breakfast at the airport cafe...A great aviation experience...

Stopped in overnight en route to Dallas for Memorial Day weekend. Even though it was a holiday, the FBO service was top notch. They had us fueled promptly and provided ice and coffee for our Saturday morning departure. Fuel prices are reasonable. A great FBO in a very scenic location. Don't miss the restaurant next-door - very good food.

Flew into Sedona for a weekend getaway. Red Rock took good care of us--fuel is actually cheaper than in most of the Phoenix airports--restaurant on the field is outstanding, and the view...Well, the view is why you came, isn't it?

If you can visit Red Rock Aviation at Sedona, DO! Even if you can't stay, stopping in for the view is worth the trip. Rental cars are easily available and the staff is very helpful. The runway is atop a plateau. There is a small hill near the end of the 21 approach. If the winds are right it gives you a lift just as you near the numbers. It’s actually kind of fun! ...But you're in your airplane...What's not to love.

What a gorgeous airport! The wind was out of the south at 5 to 8 knots, the locals were departing to the south and landing to the north. There were 5 of us landing and 3 waiting to depart so it caused some delays. After lunch at the Sedona Airport Restaurant, Pink Jeep Tours picked us up at the terminal for a 4 hour tour. We left the same day for home.

Great little airport, FBO and restaurant. Full service fuel prices seemed reasonable and they are fast on the service. Restaurant food was very good and service was pretty fast. Watch out for the bumpy air coming in over the hill on approach for RWY 21.

It's easy to understand why there are so many favorable comments about this airport. I would like to add that Terry and Jason at the FBO are part of it. My carb heat cable broke on approach and I had to get it fixed before going all the way back to California. Naturally this happened on a Friday afternoon. Terry was able to reach a mechanic at Cottonwood on Saturday and the plane was fixed that afternoon! Waiting for Flagstaff or Prescott mechanics would have cost me several days of waiting. Thanks a lot Red Rock Aviation!

What a great little airport. Arrived Thursday 6th October, the place was full of fine aircraft. About 50 Commanders, fine looking aircraft. They do allow other makes in there. We did see a couple of Cessna's but mainly they were full of better quality aircraft. Good place to eat right there on the field. Overnight fee was $7.50, not bad for that kind of place. I am sure it would be less for a 150. Fuel is a little high, then again they have to ship it a ways. Great place and I would recommend it.

Great service and very friendly helpful people at the FBO. Unbelievable views. Good restaurant on the field too.

From Lance Flynn on 06-Oct-2005
Last week I had to make a precautionary landing at KSEZ. I was met by "the equipment" and even the local newspaper reporter. Red Rock Aviation immediately towed my Mooney up to the maintenance facility on the NE end of the field where Patrick dropped everything to get us going. Took a little time, but he meticulously troobleshot the problem (ultimately turned out to be in the Bendix mag) and fixed it for a very fair cost. I can't be more grateful that these guys were there! Stayed overnight at the Best Western ($119), and they will pick you up and bring you back in their van. As a side benefit Sedona is really a beautiful place. Note: the FBO does charge $10 overnight even if you buy gas.
