Had to make an unscheduled stop here due to weather in the mountains. Kino made it a very pleasant 2-hour stay. He helped get the fuel pumps all set up so the only self-service involved was pulling the handle. Provided a free courtesy car into town so we could get lunch. I will definitely come back here.

Not Air BP anymore. Overwhelmingly helpful service. Beautiful environment. Crew car into town. Very friendly desk help. Recommend this as a stop.

Considering Taos is a major resort area prices here are quite reasonable -- even for rental cars. Excellent service, too.

TAS provided helpful and courteous service during my stay in January 2008. Can't say enough good things about them.

Great stop over the New Year weekend. It was very cold but the runway was very clean and well plowed. Special thank you to Keno for super aid in getting my 310 started on a very cold day. Great service and super FBO We will return.

Kino Chavez is one of the two guys here. He's a gem! Terrific service and great self service fuel prices. Kino called Best Western for our overnight stay...Pick up and drop off service (good idea since the airport is several miles from Taos) and pilot's discount.

10/06/07 Joe at SKX was fantastic for our 2-week stay in Taos. Numerous trips in and out, rent cars, starter problems; he went above and beyond helping me and all members of the family. Many thanks Joe.

Got stuck for a weather day. Mark the airport manager went above and beyond to accommodate me. I got teeded off because Brian ignored me for a bit (I had a time trying to figure out the intricacies of the myriad of valves and pumps on the self serve) but I warmed up to him once I got his attention. Real helpful and courteous he was. To his defense he was busy with jets but I got there first, ya know. The Citation wanted to light up and blast off real quick so it was drop everything for that guy. I got out at 0500 the next day and I'll tell ya, even at that time of day that rwy is short for that altitude. I had 800 remaining after breaking free. Fortunately, I had 20 miles or more to climb at a paltry 300 fpm.

Stopped in at Taos for a July 4th weekend stay. FBO staff was exceptional! Lineman met plane at self-serve pump and did everything but use his own credit card. Enterprise rental cars on-site - car delivered right to plane by line crew. Reasonable $5/day ramp fee mandated by city officials. Working computer in pilot lounge for flight planning & wx. No frills but very functional facility - great service - reasonable fuel prices -- highly recommended!

Bryan at SKX is really great. Very friendly and even helps you fill up at the self-serve. Wish we had more folks at airports like Bryan. Price for AVGAS ($4.45/gal) wasn't too bad in comparison to other NM airports.

Taos Aviation Services is a great FBO at SKX. Yesterday we took a short hop from Albuquerque to Taos for an Angel Flight outreach event - no fuel needed. Bryan directed us to parking, had the rental car delivered to the aircraft, and helped us with our display case and luggage. All the rental car paper was completed at the FBO, no need to drive to Enterprise to complete it. On the return to the airfield, Kino checked the car back in and let us drive to the aircraft and unload. The FBO is clean and comfortable, all in all a very pleasant experience.

Arrived to find unexpected snow and ice on my transportation. BRIAN cheerfully pulls me in the heated hangar and he and I deice my bird on and off for a couple of hours. We are so grateful for BRIAN'S unstoppable customer care and service. As usual we can't say enough nice things about these guys.

Brian at SKX is great. We were there in August and again last week (December) and the service were excellent on both occasions. Yesterday they were digging out from a nice snowstorm and he tugged our Bonanza into the hangar in the morning to thaw it out prior to our departure. Great stop for fuel or for several days.

Great stop fast and friendly. Had a starter issue, and they assisted while I propped it. No fuss, nice place to visit.

Had a great visit to Taos thanks to Taos Aviation Services. Stopped for gas and lunch. The courtesy car is very nice. Lots of good places to eat and things to see in town. The fuel truck is for Jet-A only. For avgas, use the self-service pump. I didn't know that until I had already shut down and parked. Kino (spelling?) gave me a tow to the pump so that I wouldn't have to re-start. The avgas was reasonably priced. We will definitely be back.

Great people here-- from the local pilots on the ramp to the folks in the FBO. (And we didn't warrant any special attention in our beat up old c172xp, with no fuel needs). We brought our bikes and peddled into town (7-8mi?), but the hotel where we stayed (Kachina Best Western) was very helpful with a free shuttle ride back out to the airport in the morning (they would have been happy to give us rides both directions). I do recall from a previous trip that the self serve and the transient tie-downs are in vastly different locations. Just check with unicom after landing.

What a great place to fly into. Fuel price was not that bad, and the service was outstanding. Bryan had my car waiting and everything in order when we got there.

No preheater available for transients...nights well below freezing from Oct.-March. But afternoons warm up nicely. If you care about your engine, plan to depart after lunch.

$150/night for hangar for single engine -- even think about asking for a discount, they will get uppity and claim that one is arguing with them (could they have had people asking for a break too many times before.) Thanks, but no thanks -- we will take our fuel and hangar business elsewhere.
Response from Taos Aviation Taos Aviation apologizes for the misunderstanding on hangar prices. We charge $50 per night for a typical single engine aircraft (this does not include a PC-12 or TBM 700). There is only one hangar for rent on the field and it is very much in demand.

Self-serve fuel pumps at end of FBO ramp. No tie-downs at FBO; tie-downs located by red terminal building 200 yds. northeast of the FBO. Weather computer in FBO offices. Free wireless Internet in terminal building.
