There are better places to get 100LL fuel compared to here from a price and reliability standpoint; the credit card reader for the self-serve pumps doesn't always works or gets disconnected, which makes getting fuel after-hours challenging. I've even been charged the full-service price for 100LL and not the self-serve prices when I had to get an override at the self-serve pumps (which is just wrong after the inconvenience and frustration of an unreliable credit card reader!) and some of the staff just seems dismissive of the issues on hand. Honestly, I expected better from my home airport and I'll make it a point to take my business elsewhere for the time being.Response from Ron Peters, Manager, Salem Aviation Fueling @ Salem Air Center
Hi Mike, I am sorry that you received such questionable service. The equipment is a problem... we are doing our best to resolve the issue. We apologize that you were charged incorrectly. This should not have happened... Yes, you do deserve better. We are working to win back your respect.

I was based in Salem this past week for survey work and received great service from Salem Aviation Fueling. This was my second opportunity this year to have been based there, and both times they took care of hotel and car rental issues seamlessly. Ron, Echo, Mark, Patrick, Micah and Brian were very attentive to my needs and pleasant to be around. I like this place.

Arrived here 20 min before closing. We hadn't reserved a car prior to our arrival due to weather concerns and not sure where we would end up. Anyway, they had a rental car available luckily and got us fixed up promptly.
