Don't mean to sound like a broken record, but three cheers for Matt and Luther at Show Low Airport again today. We were round tripping to Las Vegas over three days. With ice and snow everywhere, Matt and Luther were right there to offer help if needed. These guys are real pros and friendly too.

I accepted a Senior Vice President and General Manager position here during that summer trip (last post) and Show Low Airport is now our home base. The weather's changed quite a bit, and today, two different members of the airport team made my trip in an out of 2+ feet of snow and ice possible. Lou in the morning subbing for good guy Matt, and Luther in the afternoon helped me shovel, shoved very heavy and frozen steel hangar doors with me, and helped our Bonanza get in and out for a quick Las Vegas turnaround today. Temperature was single digits both morning and afternoon, but it didn't cool off the great team here. These guys were stellar! Couldn't have gotten out OR back in without them. Thanks guys!

Although I use almost the same self serve unit at my home airport in Las Vegas, this one was a little cantankerous with a hose tangle and hidden "on" switch, but airport attendant Luther was just the opposite. Nice guy. Luther answered all my questions, helped when I needed it, and told me his workday starts at 5AM when I asked. Next morning, a different airport attendant (Matt?) told us they frown on cars driving on taxiways, even though it's a long hoof from transient parking to rest rooms and terminal. Whoops. But all in all, a good experience.

Traveled to Show Low 6/3/11. Parked without help. Never saw a lineman. Had prearranged with Ford dealership for a rental. The Ford dealer was excellent. Met me just as scheduled. Easy return at the airport. Couldn't get a callback from Enterprise there. Overall, an okay place to stop for fuel with easy self-serve, but don't expect the level of service provided by a good FBO-expect a "self-serve" experience all around.

What a great bunch of people, couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I have been there numerous times lately and they always go the extra mile. Clean modern facility, perfect location to explore the White Mountains and the Rim country of Arizona.

I had called ahead for a quick turn, and the fuel truck was rolling before the prop had stopped on shutdown. Nice facilities and reasonable fuel price. Great stop.

A good stop, and a pleasant experience. Full facilities, and a good IFR approach. Friendly and efficient. We arrived just before a major winter storm, and they had a heated hangar waiting as requested. Our ride was waiting, and we were out of there and on our way in just a few minutes. It was just as convenient when we left.

I have a client flying in and out of there often, and Matt Smith is always so courteous and helpful. It is a pleasure working with him!

Nice terminal includes rental car and airline desk, pilots lounge with computer and satellite TV, and fuel desk. Luther at the desk for the city does an outstanding job of taking care of pilot’s needs and question. Runways and taxiways are in good condition, overall this is a great stopping place
